News:
-End Of Year lines have been replaced by New Year lines, as well as New Year and haregi sprites. The recipients of new New Year lines include Yamato, Iowa and Warspite. The recipients of the new sprites are Houshou (New Year), Iowa (haregi), Yamakaze (haregi) and Northern Hime. Akitsushima's haregi sprite has been updated.
-All players have been given a New Spring 2017 wall furniture on startup, which will remain available until the next maintenance on January 10, at 11:00, which will also add New Year's furniture to the furniture shop, replacing winter furniture.
-Four limited time New Year's quests have been added, including a quest which rewards a Furniture Worker and either a Shiun, a Ro.43 or an OS2U, and one which rewards a Skilled Crew and a New Year's furniture. They will remain until the January 10 maintenance.
-Two World 1 quests have been added, the first requiring an S rank each at 1-1 and 1-2 rewarding a Furniture Worker and either a +3 improved 25mm triple AA gun or a large extension bulge, and the second requiring an S rank each at 1-3 and 1-4 rewarding a Reinforcement Expansion and a piece of furniture.
-AA guns and Extension Armors can now be equipped in the expansion slot created by a Reinforcement Expansion.
-Extension Bulges (Large) can now be improved and upgraded to New Ship Design Extension Bulges (Large), which can be further improved.
-You are now able to access Akashi's factory while not on a sortie by clicking the crane at the bottom left corner of the screen, whenever she is the flagship of the first fleet.
-If improving or upgrading equipment requires the consuming of other equipment, the remaining quantity of required equipment will be shown just before confirming the upgrade.
-The next Kai 2 will be for a CA. Saratoga will also get a second remodel, along with F4F (Wildcat) planes being upgradable to F6F (Hellcat) planes.
-The 5th year of KanColle will see foreign ships from "interesting places". Matsukaze, Hatakaze and/or Yuunagi will also be implemented early next year.
-New submarines, Akizuki- and Matsu-class destroyers, and escort carriers are also under plans to be added.

So I tried both BattleInfo builds that I know don't fuck up completely against the enemy combined fleet (veigr sure is a lazybum). If there are any others I'm not aware of them, but I'll test them out at the soonest opportunity.

First one up was Yoctillion. This build is unique in that you can open it in its own window, but once you minimise it (or close it) you have to reopen it so it can get a tad annoying. This latest build (updated Dec 15) has yet to take jets into account so it initially showed A rank for node C, but if the rank displayed is wrong, it'll switch to the correct one when the battle ends.

Pic related shows all you need to know. Stages 1 and 2 of each LBAS attack are lumped together, instead of separated like for aerial phase.

Next was CirnoV (yes, I know >gookshit). This build also hasn't taken jets into account. But its benefits and drawbacks everyone should know already. Anyway, at last check it had problems with calculating the correct rank at air raid nodes (10% ≤ % damage lost < 11% is marked as D rank instead of B) and against enemy combined fleets (S ranks don't exist at all, and A ranks don't exist at night; see pic related for daytime S example). If you get a drop there, it doesn't register either. And if the rank calculated was wrong it doesn't switch to the right one when the battle ends. But it does separate each LBAS attack into separate stages.

Conclusion: the Yoctillion fork has fewer functions, but no flaws with what it has. The CirnoV fork has more functions, but also has quite some problems.

Note: the Yoctillion fork doesn't seem compatible with the gook KCV so I tested it on grabacr07 instead. The gook BattleInfo works with other KCVs, but its turn whole KCV to red function only works for the gook KCV.

Tanaka was generous enough to make them fighter-bombers or else they would truly be useless with the current dive bomber damage formula. I'm torn on this one. On one hand I hated Iowa's design with a passion. On the other I loved Saratoga's design (although felt a little disapointed at her face being literally Yamato's).

First, you'll likely want a phone with a good battery life since you'll be playing it on the go and you'll be screwed if you run out of batt without a charging port in sight. The only way to mitigate this is to root and/or flash a different version of Android (i.e. a custom ROM) to your phone, but your mileage may vary depending on how comfortable / familiar you are with that kind of thing.

CyanogenMod is probably one of the biggest custom ROMs out there (and probably the easiest to work with for beginners, although that also depends on whether or not builds are available for your phone - and what type of builds, for that matter; nightly, snapshot, milestone, etc.).

In any case, expect Flash to have moments of lag and be a huge power sink in general no matter what phone you're using. It's basically the asbestos of the internet at this point.

I should probably add that you don't really want anything from the Nexus 4 and below. I was using the 4 before I switched to a 5X, and the battery life was absolutely terrible even without me shitposting on a Mongolian throat-singing imageboard and playing KanColle.
