About eating things while they are still alive: shits delicious and very healthy, They also sell live lobsters in Japan restaurants, you can pop them open and see their hearts beating while eating pieces of them. I think eating something while it is still living is natural, all of the smartest and strongest animals like dolphins eat their food alive so why shouldn't we? Sometimes I believe that I am devouring part of the creatures soul thereby increasing the power of my soul, when you eat something that was killed earlier the soul leaves the body so you are eating just a empty shell.

seriousreply cooking your food means your body saves energy that it'd otherwise use to break down the raw meat, this freed up energy is what enabled cavemen to evolve out of the ranks of monkeys by having enough surplus energy in the body to support a larger brain hth

Yes. I am prone to delusions of grandeur.

when I was younger I used to dream about this fictitious 'empire' I had. I basically imagined EVERYTHING about it, every little detail, the administration, where the administration was housed, how the electoral and judicial systems worked, how large and effective the army was and so on.

My proudest moment of leading my empire was when I constructed an entirely new Forum near the center, I constructed 3 HUGE neo-classical buildings, one to house the parliament (only people of a certain IQ could vote), one to house the supreme court and the other to house the Emperor's Palace. All on either side of the huge square.

>> No.1616025

>>1615996
I did the same, but my society never moved passed farming. A man's success was based on how well his crops were. Government was nonexistent in day-to-day life except for the daily meetings held by the heads of each household (I'm pretty sure the only time I've made some sort of government was during the war against the pigs). There were technological advancements (golem-like vehicles (mechs before I knew about mechs)), but most of the technology was stolen from the inteligent, but frail rat people.

>> No.1616053

>>1616025
That's pretty awesome. I mean, my society still praised the values of a good solid day's work in the fields. Toiling away and so on. I think me (The Emperor) composed a number of treatises on agriculture. The greatest feeling of course was when your troops were arrayed in front of you in the Forum, so many thousands of them, all in their dress uniforms/armor.

Truly, in my mind at least, I was the most powerful man in that world.

>> No.1616064

Did you have a queen? What was she like, athens-san?

>> No.1616074

>>1616053
It would've been nice if I was the most powerful, but if I remember correctly, I've failed my people plenty of times during my military campaigns against the pigs. Casualties were incredibly high. The only reason my society survived as long as it did was because of our siege abilities. Our focus on agriculture led to huge surpluses in food and our archers and spearmen made sure that no pig got pass our castle walls alive.

>> No.1616076

>>1616064
I didn't actually think of a Queen, I mean, I thought up of everything technical, the whole mechanics of Government, the cartography of the Empire and world. But no Queen.

I like how athens is carefully constructing an elaborate and highly insane troll persona. At this point it must be like living as another person, always in character and fleshing out new details daily. We've learned his history, what's damaged his psyche, how he became what he is today.... he's trying to build a mythology.

I definitely believe you about the delusions of grandeur, athens. I still hate what you're doing to the board, but I can't help but be impressed by the scope of your ambitions.

>> No.1616089

>>1616074
Failed military campaigns were quite common for me too. I tried to lead a punitive expedition against this kind of fish-like people with scales, but one of my army-groups got cut off and annihiliated and the other two were routed, I managed to salvage some men and lead them back to friendly territory though. I remember reaching the wall that seperated my own Empire from the fish-people's empire, it was a feeling of intense relief.

I think we developed some experimental weapon after that and just exterminated them all with cannon.

Technically my self-insertion character was able to vote because he had an IQ of 180. But to hold office you needed an IQ of 150 and my IQ irl is mid 140s. So I shouldn't have been able to hold office, technically speaking, let alone be the Emperor.

Oh, and the Emperor was elected for 30 year terms by the Council of Elders. I had a very elaborate constitution.

Yeah, that's because people with high IQs generally tend to have higher aims in life than those with lower IQs.

But it isn't a big thing. I hear about plenty of MENSA members who only have that to their name, whereas those who aren't geniuses, end up being academics and insanely successful in life.

As long as you're not a complete and utter retard, it's pretty much down to how determined you are until it's doing something new and mindbreaking.

The correlation probably is true, it still doesn't mean that IQ is the best form of discrimination between good people.
