The mod is already installed. If by load you mean play, then you go to Arcade > Library > DotS and from there you can make or quickjoin a lobby.

If you wish to search for a particular lobby, then go to Arcade > Lobby list where below the lobby list you will find a "Find private lobby" button.

Also, don't forget to join the /jp/dots chat channel! Lobby invites are linked to that channel!

To those who are interested, we might start playing some DotS1 games on weekends now and fair warning, it's a pain in the ass to setup so we'll discuss what everyone needs to set up their client and this info will probably then get added to a pastebin in the OP for new players. You can get started by downloading "wc3 1.26a" and wait warmly for instructions on how to not fuck it up or use google and figure it yourself. Apparently the instructions are in russian, bylat.

some instructions:

Copy and paste the 1.26a files into the wc3 folder and replace if you havent downgraded already
Check if you got the right version, i don't remember if i used these but hopefully they are the right files.

Put the map in maps anywhere in maps folder, preferably in its own folder so it's easier to find it when you gonna try it.

Follow the instructions in the THDots readme

Start wc3, go into skirmish or LAN and check if the map load the models properly

You might also want to download a hotkey changer so item usage gets easier

What program should we use to host?
i propose gameranger (since that's what i usually have used when playing it)

Several things.

-Runes do not spawn at all.
-The shop only shows dota items. You have to manually type and search for dots items to be able to buy them. And i mean their back end names, aka strings, not their front end names. Luckily, the strings usually contain part of of the front end name, but not all of it. Looking up "fusion" or "control" will not bring up the nuclear fusion control rod but looking up "nuclear" will.
-Neutral creeps now spawn once every two minutes but dots has the same amount of neutral camps, so you now have half the gold and experience in jungles which hurts pretty much everyone.
-Can't see my own stats (int, str, agi) despite holding alt. The power card drops from creeps still seem to increase hero damage so they are still there.
-Talent trees work. So you get whatever talent tree the hero they used as a template to remodel and build the girl upon has. Could potentially make some 2hus broken as shit while others get a bunch of stuff that doesn't do anything in dots.
-If you do not pick a girl before the timer runs out the game starts and you get stuck unable to pick a girl. Several lazy /jp/sies are guilty of picking far too late and this would likely force the remake of like 80% of the games.

However, the chinks are working on fixing it. There were two patches dated dec 13th. They are working on it a few bugs a time by the looks of it.

The game is now playable. The shop has been fixed, but runes still don't spawn at all and you will still be unable to pick a girl after the timer runs out. As in, the third timer which is the new "Strategy stage". There are now three timers for whatever reason: Pick stage, something else i can't remember and strategy stage. They are like 2 mins combined or something like that.

People who go afk, leave or just start feeding on purpose.
Words doesnt destroy games, but game ruining does.
I know one person who does that and he almost never joins anyway.

It works for the most part, but there are certain things that severely hinder the functionality.

-Runes do not spawn at all
-Camps spawn every two minutes, so you have half the exp and gold in jungles
-Several girls seem to have new bugs in their skill set. The few recent patches have been fixing bugs like one of Okuu's skill dealing no damage, or the leech not working for Flan and stuff like that.
-Talent trees work and are the trees from the base heroes they built the girls upon. Eirin has silencer talents, Aya has slark talents, etc. These talents don't do anything half the time and some heroes get the complete shit end of the stick, like wriggle who only has a bunch of "name_1" for all her talents except for increased strafe attack speed at lv25 which does nothing for her, while others like Aya get free 10% life steal in a game where lifesteal is only available through specific girls' skill sets.

It works, it is playable. But I don't think it will play out the same way until it is fully fixed, or at least until they remove/tweak the talents for every girl.
