Because there are many different kinds of weeaboo and most of them are not compatible at all.
Because I'm an oldfag I tend to recoil in horror at younger fans because I find their tastes and lack of tact appalling.

I also have the ability to turn off my weeaboo like a switch, which allows me to have friends that have no clue what my hobbies are all about, and that's okay because I like them for other reasons. It also helps that I'm quite the conversationalist and can hold my own in nearly any topic.

I'm not disagreeing, but I don't really have a problem with Sam. There are a few reasons.

-He rarely mentions anime in any of his videos
-He actually learned the language
-Instead of "talking" about Japan, he actually went over there and did something about it. He did what he wanted to do, so good for him.

It's people like the ones at my school who pin Haruhi on their bags and don't even know who she is, shit like that. Or intersperse every other English word with "Kawaii!" or "sugoi!" even when it makes no fucking sense.

Anyway, to get back to the original question- I would say that weeaboo's make me rage because in general they have a slim understanding of what is really out there in terms of anime and manga, there is more stuff then just Naurto and it is a shame most of them don't seek it out. However- this is a double edged sword, because then you get the ones who discover lucky star and then brag about it to all their friends the next day at school.

When I found lucky star, I told my one friend about it and said "Hey, I think you might like this." and left it at that. To me bragging about what anime you watch is akin to bragging about what CD's you own. Maybe I just don't see the value in it.
