Why are there retards on DS that try and delude themselves into thinking it's "okay" to share things, but only in a shit format like v0?

They treat it like some exclusivity bullshit and with a "if you want it in better quality support the artists," when a lot of times it's not easily doable.

I'd honestly rather people not upload anything at all than in v0 at this point. Uploading in v0 just deters someone else who would have thought about buying/sharing it in a better format just because the v0 rip is already there.

Camellia and Nanahira's latest album Sleep! is pretty good, anyone that likes his style of denpa music should give it a shot. But even though, the main attraction of the album is the fantastic future bass track Looking For A New Adventure. It's like he compacted as much joy as he could into one drop.

Honestly far as lossy formats go mp3 doesn't even factor in there, there is a pretty clear difference between v0, Vorbis, AAC, Opus and mp3 almost always ends up bottom of the pile and it is pretty straightforward if time consuming to prove. But what format is popular is honestly a whole different matter.

In lots of other cases there with smaller circles where even if you have the money to support circles you may not have the access to do so, not everyone has a online presence either.

I've lost count how many albums I've wanted where even using a proxy I wasn't able to get due or suddenly released without warning and never reprinted.

The doujin music scene, especially the shrinking western scene is extremely transient and relies completely on good will.

In certain cases I will do arranger/composer as artist and include "feat. vocalist" in the title, but usually only if that's how it's specific in the booklet/website.

Circle always goes in album artist tag.
Date is yyyy.mm.dd
Composer goes in Composer tag
Arranger goes in Performer tag.

So far example, a standard vocal album would be something like:
Artist: Vocalist
Date: 2016.08.14
Composer: Composer
Performer: Arranger
Album Artist: Circle

This makes both the vocalist, arranger and composer searchable in Foobar.

The borders are ugly as fuck.

Looking around they've always been pretty easy to buy online with plenty of places in stock with their library coupled with less than half of their entire works have ever been ripped but unlike most circles a lot of their old albums are still buyable. They even released a compilation album quite recently with a whole bunch of their oldest tracks alongside some remixes of them.

Chances are those who know of them simply bought for themselves because there isn't as much reason to rip.

Using the page for Dateless Bar as an example, scroll down to the bottom until you see the stuff from the attached pic. But since you're actually getting to the downloads I'm gonna guess you're having trouble with baidu links (99% of the DLs on that wiki) rather than the wiki itself.

The easiest way to deal with baidu is by not dealing with it at all, either by finding a link to a different host or by using a download manager. It's kinda janky but JDownloader 2 works well for this, just make sure you uncheck all the extra shit it tries to give you in the installer.

The point is even if the videos have ads on them doesn't mean the channel is profiting from their uploads as long as they don't enable monetization system on Jewtube. You are just jumping on conclusion like that and making general statement which is not nice. If you really thing they are profiting then it is better to ask them directly and have some proof as screenshot if they are really enabled monetization feature in their channel but as I said when that guy had like more than 40k followers in the past he didn't have any ads on his videos since I said I have been following this channel for a long time and even if he has now then it doesn't mean he is making good profit with small amount of subscribers that he has now. For NK's channel it's mostly because IOSYS, Tano*C and Attack the Music claims third party content on their songs so there might be ads, but we don't earn anything with this. I am strictly against the idea of earning money through other people's work since what we ultimately do is nothing different than infringing copyright which I am aware of.

Since people seem to like that album, I'll break my rule with waiting some weeks and share Halozy's C90 extra album. Even though I know that it'll be on 9tensu and other shit pages who have a bunch of ads on them. For your notes, I've always shared everything I've bought in the past, not right after I got them, but I waited until everything calmed down.
Being jealous of people having things you don't have is a childish behaviour in my opinion, rather than complaining, you should do something to change this. Ask the uploader for example, I will usually give it to you privately if you ask nicely and don't reupload and claim the credits for yourself.

Its pretty easy to use Lossless Audio Checker to see if they are clean rips.

All you do is convert the supposed FLAC to WAV, then it automatically verifies whether it is clean, a transcode, an upsample, etc

So even you would convert to v0, I could tell the difference.

Those programs can't "tell" anything for sure, it's literally just guessing, it's as good as a human looking at a spectrogram program.
There are some 100% CD rips that those programs will identify as transcodes, either because they're a certain style of music which doesn't have high frequencies or they're lossy masters.
.log (with an EAC checksum) verifies the contents of the rip 100%, you can check both the log checksum and the relative audio checksums contained in the log to verify everything is correct, along with all the rip settings to make sure they didn't do something retarded like enable normalization or something.

Is this file from a CD rip or is it a lossy transcode? Are you 100% certain?

Heres my example

Ripped the CD with EAC
Checked the spectrals in spek, surprised they didnt seem like most other lossless audio files (consistently branching up to 22khz) It nearly looks like v1, so what gives? I ripped it straight from a physical CD. Maybe the artist used lossy masters?

But with LAC it basically just confirms that the files are clean, but with poor masters. No need for a .log, because a .log wouldnt have done much in this situation, to my knowledge.

Now this is a particularly strange case I had, most likely an error on the artists part.

Two wav files, both ripped with EAC, both from the SAME album.

However, one registers as being UPSAMPLED, while the other is clean lossless. A log could've probably helped here, but again, not quite sure how.

Some dude supposedly gave me a wav rip of an album I really wanted, but just by comparing the spectrals, theres a disgusting difference, the MP3 somehow extends up to 22khz, and the WAVs cut off at 20khz, WHY?

I had the Mp3's before, downloaded from somewhere, and now the wavs that I received make ZERO sense

From the looks of it I would guess it was encoded using Apple's MP3 encoder.

Maybe you're being really selective about what you save, but Nhato has a lot more than that out there - probably over 100 tracks and remixes.

You should check more of his otographic music stuff. In particular I enjoyed Kaede.
He's made a few tracks for a state of trance. I'd recommend Aurora.
He's also done a bunch of collabaration/remixes of taishi, including some vocaloid if you're into that.
His oldest stuff is under the name Kyu. You might like some of that, although his style has really evolved over time.

He posts all his new releases and contributions on a tumblr page.

I don't get it. Before nayuta's departure each album had at least 3-4 good tracks and at least 1 awesome one (usually it was the one sung by nayuta herself). But these days you're lucky to get 2 good songs while the other ones sound like the same old stuff. It speaks volumes that the best song from the previous album (Blind Emotion) was a cover of an old song from their golden age.

I have yet to listen to the rest of Tragical Garnet though, so I hope I can agree with >>15753525 .
