Announcements and events scheduled by non-admin/mods seemed to be quite unreliable and didn't show up most of the time, so we pretty much relied on threads to announce games. The /jp/dots chat channel also served the same purpose to a lesser extent after we got a game going.

The Anon who made the steam group also didn't play at all so the group settings are probably not set up properly and stuff since he didn't really had much contact to what was going on with the /jp/ games.

I checked it and at a cursory glance it looks like any other teenage memer group that is open for anyone to join.
Reminds of the time I looked at at /d/'s group on Steam and obvious children were oblivious to what futanari was.

Looks like my Steam will remain exclusively single player.

I have no clue. I actually didn't even try to do anything past taking a couple screenshots when she was added.

Her DotS2 wiki page is still empty, all we got to go by is her DotS1 page, but there's no parity between the two so she might be partially/completely different in DotS2.

I kind of find her boring. Her kit seems pretty passive outside of shooting the occasional nuke and maybe a flag swap initiation.
I suppose she can be effective, I've gotten a number of kills off of good laser bounces and she provides some good passive buffs to creep waves. Just don't expect an Aya level of effectiveness.

Actually I did play a couple games. On top of that I was in pretty constant contact in the group trying to make the settings better. I really did try. Any options for announcements and stuff were allowed to all users. Is there something else I need to be doing? I have fun playing DotS 2 and would like to do more.

All we could really tell about the announcements is that didn't seem to pop up. We even came to think that it might be some anti-spam mechanism to prevent trolls from spamming people in groups, altho i don't think that's the ase because that pretty much defeats the point of allowing everyone to make events.

I'll make an event now and see if people see it.

I'll do what needs to be done. I didn't just ditch the group or anything. So if anyone has ideas I'm willing to hear them out. I get alerts and shit when people post in the group so I try to stay in the loop. From what I know though events really should work, unless somehow people themselves disabled it for their steam accounts.

Install dota2 go to the "Arcade" tab search for "Touhou" and defence of the shrines 2 should be the first, and maybe still only, result. Install it and your good to go.

Also, there's a chat channel within dota2 called "/jp/dots" that you should join, as well as this steam group that may or may not be an effective mean to coordinate lobbies.

Man, the devs really made Yuuka feel as powerful as she should be! I hope she won't get nerfed too hard.

I've really grown to like her after playing the fuck out of PoFV, MS, LLS, and KG.

You want the secret to landing easy grabs? Use it as a follow up to spear. Throw it and immediately start your charge.
The spear hit? Easy grab. Miss? Oh well, try again in 10 seconds.

Position displacement skills are some of the strongest skills in DotA, and that extends to DotS.

I would like to play with jaypee because they are nicer then /v/ but I must confess dots is a horribly unbalanced game with no real strategy to it from what I can tell

It should still be fun with friends though, as all things are.

Everyone's horribly imbalanced but really the key is knowing how to react to certain situations. There's plenty of strategy, but the game lacks some items to actually execute strategy like smoke, blink daggers, or other such "let's fight" items, so things usually boil down to pushing, initiating with the handful of initiation heroes, or just outcarrying and rolling down a lane with hyperfarmed heroes. There's strategy, but not so much in the way of tactics, because the itemization in the game boils down to "hold people with ranged cc when they're out of position," and everything else is kind of shit

Her Q is like nature's prophet's Q except it can't be targeted and the flowers attack enemies (gains duration per level)

Her W is a stun that makes a path of flowers to the target (gains in damage and range by level)

Her E gives vision and bonus attack speed in a large radius (gains duration by level)

Her D plants flowers that do small amounts of damage

Her R makes an illusion that mimics the spells you use, so pretty much if you use her Q, it makes flowers around the illusion as well. It does that for all of her spells (gains a lower CD and more durable illusion by level)

She also has a built in passive that gives her +5 damage per sunflower on the map

Checking damage stats seems to be impossible in-game. The console returns nothing at the end of the replay.

I Uploaded the replay to YASP for parsing and I got a bunch of stats, altho it sometimes gets confused as to which heroes were in which team and it doesn't return overall HH, TD nor HD stats, but it does some Damage stats in the teamfights tab.

Rumia is pretty simple, hit stuff,hit stuff while invis and chomp them when their hp is low.

Mokou has a spammable fire kick aoe nuke that costs HP and a skill that turns you into a pheonix ball that can be broken in 1 hit (used for healing) and the best part is she don't even need MP,she builds into a tanky DPS later on like Huskar.

Youmu is also fairly easy to play with a passive that reduces enemy armor whilst increasing your damage that stacks,a blink with 2 damage points that also stack your armor debuff,a un-killable phantom clone that can also stack your armor debuff and a Omnislash to help you finish enemies running away/use as a finishing move after stacking enough armor debuffs.

Testing again with no heart stopper aura. Suika lives when at full HP, but dies otherwise due to the spell damage triggering multiple times on the same target and re-calculating damage based on missing health each new instance it procs.

The tooltip on the wiki reads:

If the target is a non-hero unit, it dies instantly and deals additional magic damage to all enemy units close to the target. If the target is a girl, then "Resurrection Butterfly" deals pure damage based on the amount of life the girl is missing.

And so the conclusion is: Working as intended. Yuyuko should be able to instagib anyone that is not at full HP if she completes the entire channel to release all the butterflies.

You don't have to kill Aya, you have to force her to engage you or lose.

Start pushing hardcore and send someone who can't get soloed by her to negate her split pushing.

You can't fight against Aya like you would a conventional carry. Trying to gank her is a waste of time. You have to take her towers and threaten her raxes.

I've beaten plenty of Ayas like this. If you try to fight her on her terms, ie chasing her, you will lose every time.

The interest to play DotS is there, I have no doubt. But you lazy bums never host lobbies and I don't know why.
