Other than Johnny's groups, the only ones that I can think of are BOYS AND MEN, a local idol group from Nagoya that got pretty popular after one of their members starred in Kamen Rider a couple years ago.

Victor seems pretty shitty; apparently the reason we kept getting short PVs instead of real ones was because Victor has their own streaming service and so wanted everything on there which is a great way to promote a group you know, by severely limiting peoples' access to their music.

Well, a lot of twitter accounts have bots and are controlled by management. They are set to follow people or like posts to get people to follow them back. You will normally notice that they will follow you or like your posts at even hours or right after you posted something.

I'm guessing posts from those accounts are done by management or possibly proxied through management as well.
But does that mean the idols don't read your replies? Who knows, but I am certain at least some do, one way or another, or at least in some filtered way. They might not necessarily be the ones liking your posts though. I also know that a few of them have private, personal accounts.

Although Gacharic Spin which is the entire band of DOLL$BOXX ,without the blonde singer who is usually in a prog metal band called Light Bringer, have been going more idol over the years.

My point is that these aspects are part of the enjoyement of the show, especially when you see the amount of coordination being involved in lifting peoples when their oshii sing. Same thing with thz multiple flag carried by Stereo Tokyo fan for example.

It was group put together for Pour Lui by Watanabe. It was a money making venture from the start as Watanabe liked to price things out the ass.
Their gimmick was that they were "anti-idol" even though they did everything that a normal idol group would do, including cheki.
The "anti-idol" part was fleshed out in their live shows where moshing and crowd surfing were the norm with fans, their music was typically made up of rock songs, and they released some slightly "risque" media like having the members have fake semen on their naked bodies (they wore pasties)
They had a goal to play at the Budokan, which never happened because they never got that popular and were not able to sell out their last show either. You can thank Watanabe for that.

Watanabe ended the group after their last show and created BiSH which is a lighter version of BiS. Watanabe is trying to use what he learned from BiS in order to make BiSH a much larger source of income and being as "anti-idol" as BiS no longer works into that plan.

I think Nippon Manju mixed the styles pretty well. My problem with with Renge Chance is that the first half is similar to Nippon Manju, although a bit heavier, then we get to the hook that feels cheap and unfitting, which is echoed in the video going from a humorous extreme cooking theme to a tacky green screen with what looks like cosplaying weeb backup dancers.

I don't have a problem with doing a song more on the pop side of things, I just don't think it was done well. It's kind of like they ended the song at 1:50 then started a new one. Where did that riff at :35 go? The rest of the song doesn't near that style at all. The pop portion doesn't match the metal part very well, and the breakdown at 2:40 was just bad.

Wow, I couldn't agree any more. This is exactly how I feel about this new Ramen song.

On my first listen I was actually thinking,"HOLY FUCK this is actually some fucking good shit!! Good enough to rival Babymetal."
Then at around 1:50 the whole epicness of it stopped. It got cheesy. Maybe they over-did the kawaii thing. I don't know something doesn't seem right about that chorus.

Also can't help but notice, the music from 0:50- 1:20 sounds like BM Gimme Choco.

Ladybaby is still new and I think the will still evolve and get better. (if they last long enough)

That's exactly what i'm worried about, if he is not able to improve his stuff maybe they are gonna end up like BIS, a promising project that just didn't lived up to the hype.

I heard that Narasaki was involved in the song and so it seems, at least for 110 seconds, after that mark the song just falls apart, i don't know at what extent Ladybeard has control on the project but maybe he needs someone more capable in charge of their arrangements.

I think he just gets short lines like that since he's not meant to be the main focus of the singing, just offer the background metally feel to it. The use of katakana there is definitely not standard, but when it comes to song lyrics anything goes. It's also common to use katakana for the speech of foreigners.
