Yet another non-h doujinshi thread starts with Zounouse.
Just a year or two ago I would definitely stop to discuss why his works are complete shit. But surprisingly he improved. Less pretentiousness, more sane reasoning. For example Rain Fall was indeed good. But his early works? No, you should feel really bad for liking Hunting Dog fangs.

As for recommendation, I always recommend the same things:

Finished:
* At Chirei by Kaaregetarou. Probably the best non-h touhou doujin ever created.
* Omoito Eins/Zwei/Drei. Nice touching story with some comedy, jokes, action and a bit of drama. It has everything a good story should have. Bonus points for cute costumes.
* Pure Jade Anthocyanin. Another great story with stylistically exceptional visuals.
* Hang in There, Kogasa-chan!! - Charge into the SDM Next Door. Best comedy work.

Unfinished (but still worth reading)
* Tag Dream by Dei Shirou
* Soga no Tojiko Will Not Talk
* Cirno and Reimu's 1-2-3.

I really enjoyed Kazenakishi, Maidens illusionary funeral and At Chirei. I like those that are dramatizations of the actual stories alot or elaborating on backstory.
Now if anyone knew some good recent works of the same kind Id really like to know.
