My uncle came over and gave me the why are you a hikikomori talk. He's like your dad tells me you don't go outside, have no job, don't go to school etc. It was probably the most awkward terrible shit ever. Probably one of the most traumatizing experiences ever.
Has this ever happened to anyone else? What should i do?

I used to get that talk all the time until I got a job. Then it turned into the "why aren't you married" talk. If your NEET life is sustainable then just blow it off and keep things the way they are. Other people will never be satisfied with you so just do what you want.

Back when I was a NEET the recession was in full swing so I pretended to be searching for jobs but said no one was hiring. I got talks from family members trying to offer me encouragement, so that that was kind of funny. Hopefully you won't get stuck like I did, eventually my family found work for me and now I have a steady job.

since you're being supported at home, try volunteering at a charity/soup kitchen/habitat for experience and resume building if you're having employment issues
