-New quests have been added.
-9 shipgirls have received a Yukata CG update.
-45 shipgirls have been updated with new autumn voicelines.
-New Autumn furniture and BGM have been added.
-Shoukaku K2 slated for release this month
-Zuikaku K2 slated for release sometime this year.
-New Foreign Large Ship will be implemented in the future.
-Kuma and several other shipgirls will get a Yukata CG update
-Another Prototype Flight Deck Catapult can be obtained through a quest that is still unreleased.

I'm leveling them to 80. 80 is a good baseline for hard mode events, 75 is ok and 70 is pushing it. the Nagatos are a little better than the Fusous Kai Nis, plus they can use 51cms and 46cms with less penalty. Really good replacements for hotels too.

I'd hold off on Kaga a little, at least until we see what Shoukaku Kai Ni looks like. I'd still get her to 80ish because she's a pretty good CV.

Ships generally work fine fresh off their highest remodel as long as they are properly modernized.
But of course it'll be nice to level them to a better looking number for accuracy/evasion placebo. Other stats too.

Lower level ships tend to not perform as well as higher level ones.
With that said, Nagato class and Kaga are plenty strong enough to just send into battle fresh off remodel so you can do just that.

I cleared E-7 hard with a level 40 Nagato. She didn't win me the battle but she was in it.

You can care about the random ships here and there after you fill up all of the kai nis.

Clearing quests helps too since they give you the opportunity to play with ships you'd otherwise not even remember.

I can't remember the exact comp and setup I used to clear 4-5 last month when it suddenly became so easy. Did they stealth buff the boss?

Not him but Im using Electronic observer at the moment, its pretty nice with its modular design and showing a lot of numbers and stats, plus dark theme helps me a lot since I cant stand bright things on screen, but the cookie hack still has problems, right now Im using it with api.
I also gave k3kai a 2nd chance, it improved a lot and its up to date with most kancolle mechanics.
For the catbombs, try syncing your clock, either local or nip time, I always had that problem after formatting.

Yes. She gets MVP 90-95% of the time with pic related. Sometimes I have to yasen though and there are times when I only get A rank so maybe make it 32 battles or add in a PvP or two.
I gave her a bit of modernization at start and more as CAs/BBs dropped.

Two days ago I didn't even consider farming Mutsu but grinding Musashi got a bit stale and I need to train up Maruyus so I decided to give Mutsu a go - results really surprised me, already Kai'd two and it happened really fast. I know what I'll be doing when another slug comes out of LSC.
Upgraded fit guns are quite important to compensate for her low level.

Having trouble with CA leveling on 3-2A. Currently doing CA flag, cv,cv,bb,ca,ss.
Consistently cvs are hitting for 160~ damage with type 99s at 0 morale. It's so inefficient due to them stealing MVP constantly and my flagship is orange now.

Also does morale affect yasen? I had a left over ship at like 9 hp so I go night battle and my level 56 Kako with maxed FP hits for 1 damage twice at white morale and red morale level 22 furutaka hits it for 150 twice. I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong here. 5-4 isn't unlocked but if it's more consistent with exp then I'll gladly go unlock it.

Kako is incredibly weak so no matter the setup, you WILL have problems with securing MVP.
On 5-4 you simply deal with not getting MVP because exp is great anyway but she will get it occasionally. I trained my Aoba, Kako, Furutaka and Kinugasa on 3-3 and 5-4.
As for 3-2-A, you can try using CVL with weak dive bomber (Suisei at most) in slot small enough to still allow sinking a DD. Rest of ships should use secondary gun cut-ins. Obviously sub for tanking.
Yasen is affected by morale. However accuracy is lower overall and level 56 isn't too high. Scoring both hits with low morale happens but rarely.
