That's right, Team Pendulum is back again with a surprise annoucement. This one's not about Pendual, but rather, our friend Aubrey.

As we speak, there are two different plans in motion to get Aubrey unbanned within the weekend. We cannot tell you much more than that, but if you want to stay out of the line of fire, we recommend supporting the immediate unban of the account.

Until next time, remember: A vote for Pendual is a vote for DMCA!

If the artists really want their shit taken down, they should stop acting like pussies and directly contact the people who run it instead of some shady-ass Jew middlemanning all over the place with he-said-she-said bullshit and trying to half-assedly blackmail domain owners. Not like it matters because it will be on what and nyaa before the end of the day (if it wasn't already) in every codec that matters under the sun.

People who are interested in supporting the artists would do so anyway even if they have their entire discog literally at their fingertips, especially a western community made up of people who are obsessive about shit as niche as Bemani and doujin music. You can't take a piss without it splashing on a dozen maniacs on what, so why would a community that spends hundreds, if not, thousands on this hobby suddenly turn tight-fisted about buying music from the artists? Easterner's idea of piracy is seriously warped.

He got fucked up at a party this month when someone said Slake was shit. Aubrey slapped that guy and was promptly choked the fuck out. He spent the rest of the party sulking in a corner and then demanded people be banned from the internet.

Like I said, the guy is inconsequential both online and off. If he threatens you, remember he has literally no power to make threats online or even off.

I just inherited an older IIDX controller from a friend. It works on my PS2 just fine, but apparently I can also use this on a PC. My question is how? I think Osu supports IIDX tracks now, but I don't think it's Osu or PCSX2 that people use this for.

Help me /fgg/, you're my only hope

When I tried to play empress with pcsx2 I got unplayable stuttering, I'd recommend just playing LR2, there's a great guide at /r/lunaticrave2 that will help you set it up. Fuck osu

>> No.13991967

>>13991739

Using PCSX2 for IIDX is pretty much a lose-lose situation. Depending on how you configure the emulation settings, one of 2 things happens: unplayable stuttering, or resolution drop to accommodate. I hated the stuttering so I set it to lower resolution when laggy. It ended up being like 120p. 12GB RAM, 4GHZ Quad with 2GB VRAM.

Softmodding your PS2 is decent with official IIDX discs. You can also use the PS2 network adapter to install isos of them, but they have the same stuttering issue (but to a much lesser degree)

>> No.13992099

>>13991896
>>13991967
I've already got a softmodded PS2 so I'm golden in that front if you guys think it'll give me the most milage. Are you sure that the games still stutter when loaded from a HDD, and not just over a network?

>>13991941
I consider PCSX2 to be unplayable for most games, even with a beefy CPU because of how inaccurate the emulation is. Just checked out LR2 and some beginner guides, and it seems pretty cool. Guess it's time to hunt around and see how easy it is to find tracks and skins.

Just get one or two meters of unshielded phone cable (pic related), and strip it by yourself.
Or you could get those "arduino wires" but they're like twice the price
As for connectors all you need is some soldering I think

As someone who also used the guide

If you don't to solder/can't solder worth shit/don't have a soldering iron, like me, then get crimp connectors in 1/4 and 3/16 inch widths, and use those to crimp the wires onto the microswitch and LED terminals.

Microswitch terminals should be 3/16 and LED terminals are a hair skinnier than 1/4.

Strip the ends of the wires, put them in, crimp them with a crimping tool or be ghettomode like me and use a pair of rusty pliers because you'r fucking poor, then slide then tightly onto the ends of the microswitches.

Pic related.

IIRC most UTP is 26 AWG solid core which is a bit on the thin side and not ideal for crimping/soldering. It works alright for prototyping on a breadboard but what you really want is 24 AWG stranded for any sort of real cabling jobs.

Boots up quicker on my NEETPC with an old fashioned spinning metal disk. Lets me hide my disgusting porn on a virtual desktop so I don't have to lock my PC every time I leave the room. Has some small enhancements to Explorer (that most plebs won't appreciate). PowerShell continues to become more useful. SSH included out of box. IME label is finally fucking centered on the taskbar. Comes with two new Japanese fonts. MUI packs no longer require the expensive version. Windows Update finally does peer to peer, which you can easily limit to just behind your own router. Speaking of updates, they should be less painful as Windows 10 ages since Microsoft now has the infrastructure to push out new builds frequently instead of putting patches on top of patches. Literally the only reason not to upgrade is because you're afraid of the botnet finding your porn or because you like to feel like you're in control by ticking the checkbox next to each update.

I have gone through a lot of different charts from IIDX and BMS, most of the time I just scroll through the charts that are around 6 or 7 and just pick one at random. I've spent a lot of time in the Insane BMS pack, and maybe it's because it seems that most of the music in the pack is electronic music that I dislike that all have that the ring-finger bass note that I dislike so much. Maybe I just need to start actually looking for charts that aren't trance/techno/hardcore/etc.

Also I guess what I said in my original post wasn't completely accurate, there have been a small number of charts which I actually do enjoy playing. But if the number of charts that I actually seem to enjoy playing is so low, should I even bother with the game? Also, if I just ignore all of the horrible techno/trance/blahblahblah charts that have the ring note finger, will that hamper my ability to play harder charts if I actually get better at the game? Does the ring-finger mashing ever stop?

Most people who have gotten into IIDX played back when it was something shiny and exotic to us smelly gaijins who would be lucky to see a functioning Bemani cabinet that wasn't DDR and when the game had more than like four good artists. There was a novelty that made the game coveted so it was exciting just being able to play the game and look forward to what the future held. In my case, I got into IIDX when Happy Sky was the newest AC title and was blown the fuck away, and whole-heartedly believed that IIDX had an unstoppable stride and that the OSTs could only improve from there on out.

However, that did no happen. With the departure of literally dozens of good composers in Bemani over the last 10 yearsand the doujinshit slant that IIDX is going through, anyone starting now will not share the same skewered perception and will have to go through the joyless trail of tears that is learning IIDX and have to wait until level 9 or 10 to really start enjoying the game because most of the new music sucks ass and notecharts have become drastically more dense across all difficulty levels.

Just because they aren't using you as a middleman it doesn't mean nobody's buying, but you insist it's some kind of injustice that people aren't giving you money for CDs and random knick-knacks that only eight people in the region would give half a damn about.

Quit being a little bitch because you couldn't set up shop on a private tracker that's used by less than half of the registered users monthly with only like 4% of that small sum possibly using the forums.

Also I plan on starting with some keyboard action, but later when I switch to a controller is there an accepted brand/retailer that most people use? What separates a shit controller from a good one? Sorry for all the questions in one post.

LR2 is fine, google "ultimate lunatic rave 2 guide"

>Also I plan on starting with some keyboard action, but later when I switch to a controller is there an accepted brand/retailer that most people use? What separates a shit controller from a good one?
Really your only two options is a djdao ASC (arcade-style controller) from gamo2.com, or one of the old PS2 controllers with a usb adapter. The former is obviously better, but it costs significantly more.

There really isn't much difference, the FP7 is just a bit bigger and arguably looks a lot nicer. Neither of them have a full-scaled turntable but they both have arcade accurate spacing between it and the buttons, so it really doesn't make a difference.

Size, appearance, and money are really the only factors
I have an FPS and it's great but the FP7 looks a lot nicer to me

KOCs feel pretty shitty, but they're perfectly fine to start on if you aren't sure you'll like the game enough to drop $250 on a controller for it

Playing on a machine is super weird feeling since the dimensions are not made in mind for western populations and the keys+turntable feels too low. If they don't have a chair you have to spread out your legs to lean over to position your hands comfortably. If you don't have eamuse (which ever single non-R1 machine lacks for obvious reasons) and you're used to running AC data at home where every setting is remembered between sessions, you have to remember to turn on sudden+/lift and any other mods you set manually, along with machine offset. Forgetting to set any of these things before playing a song on a new credit really sucks.
