Why are mods crusading against Kancolle threads?

They are not breaking any rules and have discussion in them yet I see them deleted on a daily basis. On the other hand touhou threads stay up no matter how shit they are. I find this blatant favoritism worrying.

What's the logic behind it?

I'm not into kancolle but I'm tired of seeing all these deletions despite the obvious resistance from the users. Why can't they be sent to another board if not even mods want them here? Does kancolle even want to stay here? Their home board is /a/.

Why is Kancolle's home board /a/? It was pretty big on /jp/ and had a lot of generals before it became an anime.... But I think it's best if Kancolle moves to /a/, anyway. Kancolle threads in /jp/ were gameplay only, and you couldn't talk about anything else without butthurt. Kind of like how you can't talk about 2hu anymore, only post 2hu images(Unless you're talking about clearing the games themselves)

Kancolle threads posted on /jp/ are fine. A Kancolle general is not. Generals are not. Generals are cancerous and multiply and mutate into different generals.

If you want a Kancolle general, go to /vg/. If you want a Kancolle thead that is _not_ a general, it should be welcome here, especially if its a discussion about a character or story.

Game discussion on /a/ gets deleted from time to time. As for threads here getting deleted, it's just because /kcg/fag, the local shitposter of kancolle threads, likes to make threads soon after bump limit has been reached instead of waiting until the thread dies complete a whole god damn day after bump limit is reached. Those are the only threads that get deleted and rightfully so. Unfortunately because of his shitposting sometimes a legit thread with updated news and everything will get deleted by accident being mistaken for spam and then people have to use his shitty thread. Oh yeah and he likes to go on and on about how the mods are oppressing kancolle threads but that's just bullshit he's spouting.

Kancolle is a "niche Japanese interest" and much discussion when it was taking off was in the context of its meteoric rise in popularity at Comiket and among Touhou Project artists.

Calling Kancolle a shitty uninspired browser game led by money-grubbing hacks supported by people with shit taste and whore artists is one thing (since you're at least making some sort of argument) but REEEEEEEEE type shit is just stupid.

It's niche in the West. Idols and certain visual novels are wildly popular in Japan but since few people care about them in the West we don't consider them as popular here.

Granted those are written into the rules but originally /jp/ is for "/a/-like shit that is not /a/ anyway.

Very technically threads not about the anime or manga should be moved from /a/ to /jp/ and the video game General should go to /vg/ but that's not happening.
