I dunno. I typically don't mind filling in the blanks or patching up the fuzzy spots in canon, but in my opinion this particular detail adds more to Remilia as a character than the opposite being true.

I mean she tells people that she's totally a descendant of Tepes, like that should mean something to a bunch of random Japanese folk and monsters living in a bubble.
