Does /jp/ like Ramune?

I kept a bottle as a souvenir.

>> No.133774

It just tastes like slightly fruity Sprite. If I wanted a fruit-flavored soda, I'd drink something from Jones.

>> No.133776

unscrew the cap, put some soade in it, reset the marble and use it again. oh, but you probably threw the pusher away....

>> No.133780

It's shit

>> No.133779

how do you reset the marble without breaking the bottle?
i like it because of the gimmick

>> No.133787

bad lemonade and expensive

it's also a choking hazard

>> No.133789

Tasteless.

>> No.133821

>>133779
if you remove the cap, you'll see that the marble was being held by a rubber seal (it might be a plastic one).

>> No.133830

>>133779
I would think you have to pull the plastic cap off and take the marble out then push it back into the plastic cap using the marble pusher (which I threw away) then push the cap back on. Kinda pointless.

Frozen ramune popsicle is nice

the drink is overpriced generic tangy lemonade in a silly bottle

>> No.133861

The taste is average. I just buy it because the bottle is cool.

>> No.133875

>>133830
pointless but you can show it off to your friends.

i guess they're become cheap in that the cap snaps on instead of screwing on. too many people reusing it i guess.

This is like the contrast to the many Japanese drinks that just come in ribbed plastic bottles.

The sixty-four thousand dollar question is: if instead of being Japanese, it was called Marble Madness and was bottled in Georgia, would it still have have the novelty value to you?

Also, does anyone remember Squirt? It was a tasty lemon-lime soda that was as ridiculously carbonated as Ramune (maybe even more so) except it didn't have the gimmicky bottle. It was one of my favorite sodas when I was a kid.

>> No.133908

similar to the glass coke bottles vs the plastic ones.

sure, as long as they made it so you can reset the marble. i'd fill them with pepsi and put them in the frig. the kiddies would love them.

>> No.133944

Someone gave me a bottle once.

It tasted ok, but the marble thing was a pain in the ass for my RAPID FIRE USA USA USA USA USA!!! style of eating where I'm done in under five minutes for anything.

>> No.134358

>Squirt
Fuck yeah! Best non shit soda out there.
They still sell it in import stores, fyi. Try bodegas or Mexican stores.
The closest in the US is Fresca. Tasty thirst quencher.

I'm not such a big fan of Ramune. Its a novelty that wears off when you realize you overpaid for heavy syrupy seltzer water. That glass is a pain in the ass to carry.

I'll stick to Lychee Calpis.
[I always associate ramune drinkers with Narutards. Do not want.]

>> No.134379

I must admit Ramune doesn't taste all that special.

>> No.134381

A Japanese food warehouse where I live sells them and I tried them from there a few years ago. Didn't like them all that much, just liked opening it. Then Suncoast started selling them and everyone knew about them.

I have a few empty bottles of each respective flavor I can get ahold of.

It tastes alright, but not as bad as Pocari Sweat.

When Suncoast started marketing all that overpriced junk I RAAAAGGED at the newfags who would tell me "Pocky is kawaii and neko-licious!!" as I browsed the manga. "Oh, what's that old school junk [Banana fish, fyi ;-;]? Try NAhRuto, its so kewl!"

I can't eat regular Pocky anymore; makes my tummy churn in disgust.

Regular pocky is disgusting with its shitty quality chocolate.

The only good chocolate pocky is mens pocky.

Although the absolute best flavour is melon.

I can't eat it anymore either, I only eat the harder to find ones I get at the warehouse. Suncoast actually was kind of good for Anime /fig/ at one point(This is like 4-5 years ago mind you), but now its nothing but crap.

Tastes like pocari sweat light, in a "diet coke is shitter than regular coke" sense.

still, it's ok.

calpis tastes better, though i don't like the idea that it has milk in it, so in japan i mostly drink water or melon soda.

>> No.134564

It's good, but waaaaay too overpriced; you can get twice as much Coke in a bottle than that small thing for the same price.

And I have to walk all the way to the store to buy them anyways.

>> No.134569

>>134461
Gah not melon! I pair it up there with the plum flavor I had in Tokyo. Bleh.

I used devour Orange chocolate and Cafe au lait. Do they even make them anymore? So sad.
Another tasty one is Marron. hit up your local Japanese markets or even the Chinese bodegas. Koreans always seem to carry the knock off brands.

>>134544
I used to love browsing the figure aisle at Suncoast. I was used to buying online for all my needs, so I was like "guh?" at the accessibility of the models. Also saved money by not buying the American shit re-releases [ugh, Rurouni kenshin springs to mind]
