You get 5/6*s regularly from weekly events, rich arabian prince types can't crush the game with oil-money either since hunter stats are capped. It's not like say, a complete gacha game where money breaks the game e.g. im@s CG/gf(beta) and any semblance of "gameplay" is shallow and vapid

Ranking well in an event gives you limit-boosters, 7* weapons and they're the real dealbreakers. Here's meritocracy for you players who actually plan route/strategies and efficiently use your resources. I'm pretty sure most of the players here in this thread ranked particularly well, despite being pure-f2p or even fairly new to the game

Your entire team can be full of 5-6*s within a week or two (like most of us have), and even more if you started during the giveaways and events. Monhun is almost kancolle-levels of fair, without bullshit RNG combat

I have no vested interest(spent $$$) in this game, and I drop games completely when it starts looking distasteful so there's no stockholm crap involved. I dropped castles after continuous disappointing developer decisions. Monhun has not disappointed me yet. Sorry for this long post, but the various nip boards for this game are just completely misleading about the game

It's understandable to feel slightly uneasy. I'm new to kanpani and it feels really silly to be behind the curve. If the previous events were any indication though, the game isn't newbie-unfriendly/oldfag-only

You could only imagine kancolle's problems with new anime-introduced players. The gap between them and the oldfags must be insurmountable and event-balancing/reward-tiering must be a nightmare

I hope I don't shoot myself in the foot, but I definitely feel that there's something for everybody next event. There's a daily login-bonus(not the free gacha) now as shown on the new page. It showed zeny/porta coins as rewards so it could appease the compulsive gambler/hoarders

Osawari event seems to be like this
Gather ingredients from normal maps. Higher worlds drop more (World 1, very rarely, x1, World 2, common, x1-x2, World 6, very common x4-x5, goes up to World 8)
Craft sweets from ingredients. They all balance each other out. One of each will cost 18 milk, 18 cocoa beans and 18 floor.
Gift sweets to one of the six zodiac girls. They all have a favorite which is whatever is displayed in small next to their name. Chocomilk for Horse and Dragon, Chocomuffin for Cow and Lion, Chococake for Sheep and Boar
They also have a least favorite and neutral gift.
This gives you ranking points. Each girl has their own ranking and rewards.
The favorite sweet gives +10 points, the neutral one +5 and the least favorite, +3
To get a girl from reward points you need to give her 350x her favorite gift.
In terms of raw ingredients, that's
For Cake: 1750 Milk, 750 Cocoa, 3500 Flour
For Chocomilk: 3500 Milk, 1750 Cocoa, 750 Flour
For Chocomuffin: 750 Milk, 3500 Cocoa, 1750 Flour
To get all reward girls, you need therefore 12000 of every drop.
Event lasts 2 weeks, which is 6720 stamina. If you are capable of running the most efficient map (likely 8-19) then that is 746 runs of that map without counting level-up refuels. Assuming an average equal drop chance and an average of 9 event drops per run that is 1989 drops of every item. As each drop in 8-19 is 4x or x5, that is roughly 7957 up to 9946
Which isn't enough to get all the girls. Possibly with stamina refills from level-ups (Each level up will add runs. Assuming you're at least level 40 in 8-19, you have 120 stamina. 120 stamina refilled from level ups would be an additional 13 runs which averages out to an additional 40 of every drop, multiplied by the quantity of the drop, 160-200 more of each item. If you could get 25 level ups, which seems somewhat unrealistic, you could get enough for all girls.

Might have gotten some zodiac signs wrong, I didn't give enough of a shit to look it up.

I don't remember if speedhack worked on that game because it's in HTML5 or something else. But it had a pause button.
So for example, deploy power.
You pause the game, search for deploy power, unpause, wait for it to go up by 1 or 2 points, pause, search for the new value and repeat this
Mobs killed, base HP and stuff works similar.
If you have no concrete value to go with, you search for unknown initial value (if you're new) or make an educated guess by value-between-X-and-Y (if you know your way around game hacking) and then go from there with "value decreased" and "value increased"
For HP, value decreased is the easiest to find

I corrupted my save file by letting about 350 enemies run into my base on that monster invasion map, have 99999 enemies killed on my counter, give several units a billion hp and 9999 deploy power
My best guess is that just giving units infinite HP and attack is 100% safe
Base HP is probably okay to a degree but I wouldn't go crazy with it. Enemies killed is useless so don't bother.
Deploy power you can just easily change and then leave alone, harmless

Exactly. The potentially best thing about this game is that even a shitty 1* unit can be upgraded to 5*.

Granted, those people in black envelope are upgradable up to 6*, but they probably have no fucking idea how hard it is to grind to max level after 4*.

Hell, I can even do the hardest map on daily maps (the one that uses 900 bread) with my "4* " units (three of them are initially 2* units).
This just show how nice the game can be, provided that you know what you are doing with your units.

Even after you get these black envelope people, you still have to grind super hard so you can upgrade them to 6*.

Imagine getting Yamato and you have to grind her to level 60 before you can modernize her. That shit takes ages. You're better off with other units for the time being if you are still not at endgame yet.

Not to mention, you need to get good equipment as well. That thing is not fun to find and make. But at least you can always remove it and attach it later if you do find black envelope units.

Additionally, if you start with 2* and 1* units, if you find their duplicate and feed them their duplicates, you can get permanent stats bonus. If you get 3* or above units, chances are, you will never ever find their copy to boost stats permanently.

And lastly, it's not like you get H scene or anything with getting black envelope girls, so there's no need to hunt them like crazy.

Source/proof? Honestly, I'm quite interested to know if this statement is true or not, based on actual comparison.

Easiest way to compare is to get 2* unit and compare it with 1* unit that became 2* through upgrade at same level. But man I'm too lazy to touch that game now.

I caught the damn HR in 7-19 four times in the meantime.
I did 143 runs of 7-19 so far, excluding some runs of other maps and clearing maps for the first time.
143 runs are 1287 stamina. That is 43 runs, nearly, of the 30 stamina maps last event. On area 3, that would've given me 92020 EP, enough for the 70k EP L girl reward. At this speed I would've capped at over 600,000 EP easily, landing me in the top 50

See above. The 3500 point reward girls are -all- SR versions of their top 200 ranking reward counterparts. They even have separate entries in the library. Fun fact: the rank rewards are earlier in the library, so they probably originally had the rank rewards as point rewards and changed their mind to make it more pay to win
