I want a game where you play as Hong Meiling as the main character, and you shoot rainbow energy instead of say, amulet cards. Sakuya is the second optional character.

First boss - Cirno
Second boss - Rumia
Third Boss - Marisa
Fourth Boss - Reimu
Fifth Boss - Suwako
Final boss - That nameless monster Meiling never got to slap down.

Extra Boss is Meiling fighting Sakuya as the mid boss and both Scarlet Sisters at the end, at the same time.

You could play as any Touhou you want, but all six of the bosses are MEN, and their missles are sperm?

You have three birth control pills for lives and condoms for bombs. If you lose all of your lives you get a picture of your touhou pregnant on the game over screen.

Extra stage involves you rescuing a touhou relevant to yours, and you fight a really hard boss.

Winning and beating all of the bosses gets a detailed win screen and the winning touhou banishes all men from Danmaku, explaining the current lack of men. It'd work.

I would like to see Touhou anime on three conditions:
1) ZUN is not the screenwriter (and definitely not the director) of the anime. He should be only a supervisor so the real scenarist and director don't make obvious fuck ups with the lore.
2) ZUN is credited as screenwriter (even though he is not) so we won't have those retarded discussions regarding if anime is canon or not.
3) Since such anime would kill touhou as it is now it should be released only when touhou is completely dead to give it a second life.

I don't like ZUN's writing.
There's a huge difference between in-game dialogues and actual book, manga or anime. In-game dialogues are just fillers between the actual content - gameplay. Dialogues are absolutely not important thing for STGs. Throw few jokes, allusions, silly comments and you're good. In anime (book or manga) it is not enough, dialogues have significantly more important role. And obviously you need to fill the 'space' between dialogues with some events/actions. And ZUN just sucks at it. His writing is ultimately boring, unfunny and poorly worded. You can pick any non-h doujin on sadpanda with rating more than 4.5 and it would be better than any ZUN's print work.

Just try to imagine anime based for example on CoLA. Would you watch it? No, the real question is: would ANYONE besides you watch it?

Also when there is a film based on a book/franchisee, it's extremely rare for the actual author to be a scenarist (or director). Because author knows that while he's good at writing he may suck at film making.

Well, I don't need it to be official. If it's good I'll enjoy it anyway just like I enjoy majority of touhou fan videos on nico/youtube.
My problem with that would be /jp/ and its "elitism". Even if the anime would have a warning "guys, this anime is not canon" in the beginning of each episode it would still become a new IOSYS as a target for hate. It would be impossible to discuss it. It would be hard to discuss anything at all, every thread would be filled with complains about newfags and new-gen secondaries.

TH06 characters don't have any thoughts put into it. We have some Youkai, some fairies and a cliche'd loli devil guff.

When TH07 came out, they start making character with substance. Like Yuyuko was probably based or related to a certain poet, and the complexity of Yukari herself. And ever since, There's a new character with some hint of relation with myth/folklore.

Yeah, I kind of feel that way. I'm inclined to be more charitable towards SDD just because it has more atmosphere, and feels somehow more Gensokyo-ish than MoP, which is just Touhou streamlined down to its basic, most mainstream elements.
