Beanpaste in - beanpaste out. You'd have to feed those Reimus too if you wanted to breed them.
Outside can be pretty dangerous, you'd want to make sure your Remi is smart and well trained to get along out there. Also don't forget that wild yus generally have a pretty poor diet and would probably be less satiating (though i have heard suffering increases the flavour).
Ultimately, breeding your own is the healthiest choice, and would certainly be better than paying commercial prices for them.
If you are a cheapskate though, just go out at night and catch your own wild yus if you think your Remi might not handle it.

And so there are now this many. This the result of two non stop rapes on top of a concentrated orange pool. Dozens of stalks each. The stalks seemed to fall a lot faster than normal and most of them lived if I kept the parents on the orange. The full grown mutants dosus are wimps. Picking one up a and dropping it not from full height can lead to 30-40 damage. They are still a bunch of crybabbys but a few will spark when the real dosu rapes. Everyone is fairly happy because I just did a batch orange heal but in a few seconds they will all be screaming and crying and trying to hide. -more direct interactions between player and yukkuri, like petting, accessory teasing, squeezing, etc. see above
-actual uses for the stress and complacency meters. they don't seem to have any emotions at all.
-reworked hunger/move speed. babies/pregnant/injured yus constantly starve from walking too far from food like an idiot
-proper training. all you seem to be able to do is pummel the shit out of a shithead when it wiggles to make it turn average.

As is, most works involving yukkuri focus on the psychological and social aspects but this game features very little of it.

What specifically about barriers, please keep in mind that different colors are meant to filter, not block absolutely based on various attributes. Only the wall blocks ALL yukkuri (not sure on flying tho) Accessory stealing shouldn't occur unless the perp lost an accessory, ill look into it though, the event code is super buggy and needs a rewrite. Hunger is unbalanced, there are no bugs, just needs some math.

This was fixed in an unreleased dev build. It's in the new release coming tomorrow (guarenteed this time, like I already made it and shit!) Additional complete changes include: Accessories now resize properly when a yukkuri grows or changes form (marisa -> dosu, aya to kimee, reimu to deibu etc) Added a bit of dialog for the cardboard box (just placeholder garbage) Logic for stealing event modified a bit to double check that its a valid option. Pinning no longer freezes hybrids (this was an art issue, there is no pinning sprite for hybrids because they dont have their own art assets, so this same issue might crop up with other similar tools. Pinning is goingt o be moved into a different directory asap to keep the same structure as the rest, and that should eliminate this issue entirely. They're surviving handily so far.

They eat it when their hunger is at 100% and damage is at least 50%. They hit that threshold and then they eat a piece, then when they nap they heal off damage, usually above the 50% mark. This only works if the floor is coated and they can find a meal immediately, though -- if they have to walk for it, they'll take enough damage that they won't be able to stabilize themselves with a nap.

On the off chance that one of them dies (a few for every hundred), the shitheads will eat the corpse and gain enough nutrition to heal up. It'll keep them going for a pretty long time, and i've even seen them start to breed afterwards. They're pretty dumb like that.
