The kancolle girls are mostly boring. The touhou girls are much more varied and cute and attractive. They're also more interesting in a character sense, too. It's a sad thing to see artists who have stopped drawing everything else other than kancolle.

Of the 25 Touhou artists I'm following only 3 I can think of have switched mainly to Kancolle. It's not too bad, aside from the fact that my #1 favorite was one of the three who switched.

Every story has been told...twice. Even the most insignificant of characters have been altered and stretched to fuck and back.

Artists are simply tired of Touhou and are latching on something fresh and relatively new. There is nothing wrong with that. How many times do we have to see why Cirno is an idiot? or another tale of the relationship between Kaguya and Mokou? or ANYTHING to do with anyone of the SDM?

We knew this day was going to come, and though it took a while it's finally here.

I know pretty much nothing about Kancolle other than the fact that it exists but I'm not going to be sour on Artists deciding to move on in favor of it. If that's too much to take, you could always try drawing more 2hus yourself and make the umpteenth pic of Tenshi getting slapped around by Yuuka or some shit.

This isn't breadth, this is limiting yourself to only Kancolle which is as unredeeming, generic and fanservice-y as you can get. This isn't just not doing Touhou anymore but every other series as well.

Around... a quarter of of the artists I'm following on Pixiv have drawn some Kancolle? Although there are some defunct artists there.

Most of those that did draw both, though. The number that made a full switch is, like, three. I do have quite a few Kancolle-only artists on there but most of them didn't do Touhou before.
