Finished Damekoi. Considering how much the whole game was centered around Mitoko I expected more out of her actual route. If the writer really wanted some kind of drama in the epilogue I personally would have preferred if it was something dealing with the tabooness of the relationship (that part got glossed over rather quickly IMO) or just some more interesting developments out of Honoka's return. It kind of pissed me off how Honoka's absence had such a flimsy reason and her fiance being a convenient antagonist with no redeeming values that gets handled out of the way by side characters also felt stupid.
Overall Himeo's route was my personal favorite, followed by Mitoko, Asami and Kaya.

Probably firing up Qualia or picking something from my backlog next. Also considering Fraternite but I'd prefer some anons' impressions on the story's worthwhileness before committing myself into reading through tons of fucked up shit once again.

Short and fairly linear. Got me a little excited when I thought I could join different factions, but that didn't seem to be the case. Those who are mindful could probably get all CGs in one playthrough. The game's also extremely easy and I don't think there's any option to change the difficulty (and no New Game+ either by the looks of it). The story has quite a lot of cliches and I found it a bit too predictable. Still playable, but very underwhelming.

There are 5 heroines, I have only played Renka and Senri routes. Those two branches from the same point, If you reject Senri's confess you'll go renka route, if you accept you'll go Senri route.

Renka and Senri are best friends, And renka was loving MC before senri. Then senri confess, and fucks with mc. In the end Renka says that "I love both of you, and I dont want to have a stealing match with my best friend so I have to disappear, have a happy life " and jumps to a car.

In renka's route you dont see senri's suicide though, MC and renka have sex and it just jumps into epilogue.

You know, for a while, I thought astralair would be like hoshimemo were it was basically moe and some kind of flimsy plot to create drama, then I was slapped with high amounts of plot to the face as soon as Ochiba's route started going.
It's building a quite interesting scenario too related to norse mythology and ragnarok, things japan has a boner with, I'm expecting good things from the unlockable routes and Yuki in general, plot-wise.

This route got weird really fast. I like the Haruka/Aria combo route, but the whole fairy thing was quite insane. At least the tree magic in Hitsuji's route was somewhat logical, but that stuff with Aria was really strange.

That little segment with Nagisa and Haruka spending time drifting in the church has a nice feeling to it though.

My point is it is a useless function. Every one playing the game can just press the print screen key if they want to take a picture.
All I am saying is the phone makes no sense. The game lets me click on LIME TALK. Which then takes me to a list of his contacts. But you can't actually do anything. I thought I'd at the very least be able to click on say Marika's icon, and see my chat with her, but no, it just takes you back to the main screen.

I don't really care about during h-scenes, because I highly doubt they're going to make him have enough lines in them to distract from fapping, and they'd probably be talking lines instead of moans/grunts anyway. I do like having full voiced protag in VNs where it goes out of the way to flesh him out as a character. When he is just a blank template self-insert I don't really give a fuck, I can never properly self-insert anyway because protags always act differently from both how I do act and how I'd want to act.

That's pretty much been the case with all their 2D games that I've played. Never enough options. I would love to see KISS make a proper customization heavy VN or dating sim style game, but with the same 3D engine they used for CM3D and CMO. The former could possibly have been a perfect girlfriend simulator if only there was lots of actual text and dialogue with the heroines instead of discussions only being small distractions between the animation player skill grind.

Yes, explaining jokes does kill them, something I learned very early from western animation and Batman's Joker as a little kid.
But good manzai doesn't have to be explained line by line, and I usually find it funnier when they do unexpected switches between both roles. I really enjoyed some of the Touhou M1 Grand Prix because of this.

I mentioned the Touhou M1 GP, there the tsukkomi ended up saying something retarded instead trying to retort to the boke and it flowed naturally there swiping between each other. I thought that was well made whilst keeping the manzai archetype, since manzai without tsukkomi isn't manzai in the end... the thing is how the retort is made and not just a simple "Hey, that was dumb!" etc

That's dumb. Since when do you have to compare yourself to an eroge MC? Even self-inserting has its limits. I want to be entertained, after all.

Hetare MCs aren't bad per definition, but mostly not done the right way. You won't find many games which really benefits from them. It's mostly just a poor excuse for a lazy writer who don't want his MC to be in the way of "cute girls doing cute things". Notable exception is 世界でいちばんＮＧな恋 where the whole story is constructed around the hetare-ness of its MC and wouldn't even work any other way. Too bad that doesn't happen very often.

Witch's Garden did it pretty well, especially with the boob animations turned up to maximum.

Dunno if it's e-mote or what, but Monobeno did a really nice job with the blinking and mouth moving animations, even kept it in the CGs which was really neat.
