Is there a reason not to run 3~ green planes~ with the blue in the lowest count slot?

According to the wiki, green assures air supremacy while blue is for damage. Wouldn't it better to assure air supremacy to reduce damage to your own ships while reducing repair costs?

Optimal loadout depends on the map. Dive bombers are useless since torpedo bombers give more damage in opening air combat phase and the same damage in shelling phase.

You honestly don't need that much Air Supremacy.
2 greens is enough.
Blue in highest for air phase to knock out other ships.
Red for consistent damage or yellow for T-cross disadvantage prevention. Though reds are pretty useless.
Better results in air phase = less ships attacking your fleet. Personally I go with 2 fighters, and 2 torp bombers, with 1 CV carrying a saiun.

Alright, thanks. I've been thinking it vary on the map and how strong the enemy fighters are as well. But I heard you needed at least 3x as much air superiority to minimize losses. So it seemed to be much safer to run mainly greens. But if it's not necessary and 3x can be achieved, damage should be the way to go. I wasn't too sure what the difference between the red/blue was(Why run one of each rather than two of blue?)

According to you, wouldn't two blue be ideal then? If dive bombers are useless.

Most CVs have a single digit slot so adding a Saiun there shouldn't change much of the outcome. As said, it's situational, if you're desperate not to get a red T-cross, a saiun will be a good to have.

Yes. Yes of course it's worth it. A sauin prevents you from getting a shitty debuff that weakens your ships considerably.

Honestly, that whole thing is started by the surprise of newer players. Usually when people start out, they think that higher ranking ships consume about as much as DDs and CLs. So because Akagi is an easy get, they use her, and then they're left in shock over how much resources she consumes compared to earlier ships.
She actually uses less resources than Kaga and Taihou.

Just woke up and played for a bit. I didn't like Hiryuu's new design initially, but it grew on me after awhile. I would have liked her headband more if it didn't scream IJN patriotism though. Also Ryuuhou's design looks really good, but stockpiling is my top priority for now.

Well, at least I already have a lvl 68 Hiryuu who's been gathering dust since last fall, I never imagined I'd have to level her to 77 for a remodel though. And holy fuck, that firepower and plane distribution; once I get her there, my 91 Zuikaku will be completely obsolete.

Unfortunately I got rid of my Souryuu when it looked like Midway wasn't happening this year. It's sure going to be fun trying to clear 5-2 with a level 1 Souryuu and two DDs, and being forced to put Hiryuu in the flagship slot rather than one of them. And I still have yet to complete the 2-5 Myoukou-class quest with unremodeled Myoukou and Nachi.

Scrub admiral here. I've been googling around and apparently Slow vs Fast fleet effect on evasion is just a rumor(But it has an effect on compass pathing and AP 91 shells crit chance apparently).

Has anybody tried out a mass simulation with like the effects of a slow fleet vs fast fleet on evasion(Where both fleets have the same evasion, going against same enemies, and the only diff. is the fleet speed)? Or was no group autist enough to do the testing since RNG would make things difficult unless there were like a billion samples.

I'm not sure if it entirely matters, but hey; people choose plain ass ships because of a minimal +10 firepower stat or whatever.

Yes, you'll need to host the pac file somewhere and use a link, because "hosting proxies locally is bad" or some dumb shit.

But you'll a place like puush, where you can host the pac file and when you go to the link, it displays plain text, not like dropbox.

You have 3 options, use puush, do some registry edits to make it work, or setup a web server locally like apache.

I already had apache, so I used that since for some reason I was getting connection errors more frecuently, I might just being paranoid about it.

Don't most people go like 50/50?

You need multiple ships of each class regardless... So you just stockpile all the rare ships, then the rest of your ships are half best stats and half best looks.

Also, the ships that aren't the "best" are usually not that much worse anyway. At max upgrade, it's probably like a 5-20(maybe 30) in some stats, but the difference is made smaller through equipment. I'm sure it'll only matter when running events and you need super-resourcing consuming superships and shit.

I'm pretty sure it won't matter until end game anyway; and nearly all of the ships are cute..

I completed the quest within 3 runs using Hiryuu, Bismarck, Yuudachi, Yukikaze, Souryuu and Ryuujou. No support fleets of any kind.

I wanna make a checklist of stuff to prepare for Midway. Stockpiling and saving buckets is a given, but I've never done an E5 before, so I'm not sure what kind of fleets I should be prepared to build.

On the top of my head, I think I'll want at least 4 BB and 2 CV. Having 2 CAV handy seems like it would be useful in some situations, and having a decent DD and CL never hurts. Anything I'm missing? Am I supposed to also level up a bunch of CVs for my support expedition fleet (in that case, their levels won't matter much as long as they're remodeled and modernized, right?)? Any reason to level up some plain CAs in addition to the CAVs? Will I regret neglecting CLTs? Any equipment I should be crafting that's not part of an obvious everyday loadout?

You already need 2CV1CVL for 5-2 and E5 has a route for 3CVs. Just have 4BB, 4CV, 2-3CVL, 4CA, 4CAV, 4CL and 4DD.

50k resources, 300 buckets, at least 2 of each ship class at around level 50, except for CVs, for which you may want to train 3. If you have time, also prepare CVLs and BBs for the support fleet. Craft Reppus for your CVs and 46cms for your BBs.

You can definitely clear with a good enough setup, but the biggest factor is still luck, especially when it comes down to the final kill.

My subs do single digits on Super Wo but for the last run Hachi shot a single torp at Super Wo for 65 and killed her even though I had searchlights. Well, I got lucky. Oh, and, I don't want to be a wet blanket, but having 2 Yamato class helps when you're doing it with subs.
