I used to when I lived with my parents in the suburban, but I live in the city now.
I prefer just walking everywhere. I got in a car crash once and don't like driving too much anymore.

I day dream too much when I drive and I'm usually sleep-deprived.

What? No. Country roads and highways are what's easy. City driving demands way more attention. On country roads you'll usually be the only guy on the road, on the highway you just have to not drift and be vaguely aware of your surroundings. With city driving you have to constantly keep an eye on varying speed limit signs because they can easily change every half mile, worry about all the traffic around you coming from all four directions (people pulling onto the road, the guy in front of you slamming his brakes because the guy in front of HIM is pulling off, the guy riding your ass, the guy trying to pass you in your blind spot just as you tried to change lanes..), keep a careful eye on various other road signs, possible construction, stop lights..

I drove to Seattle for Sakuracon this year and Seattle's roads are kind of terrifying. The actual drive to the city was almost relaxing, but city roads are always stressful to navigate

Thinking about from a certain point of view, a bike is cheaper, but you have to buy protective clothing, which really changes the way you can dress, and is expensive. Insurance is a lot more for bikes too.

City driving scares me but can be very enjoyable too. Rather I hate the low density office areas outside the city. Wide roads, irregular intersections, high speeds, no blocks, cops everywhere. And those places always feel fake and empty.

Not anymore, really. It's more fun and teaches/forces you to be a better driver, but that's about it. Up until about a decade ago manual cars got better fuel economy, but modern autos are just as good or occasionally better.

>I didn't know some places explicitly told autobabbies to grow up and learn to use a stick
That's actually the standard in most countries where manuals are more common than automatics

>>12142529
>manual
>bragging
Seriously, what the hell? Anyone with 2 legs and 2 arms can easily learn to drive manual.

It's more fun, gives you more control over the car, thus more safety (for good drivers) and it's more economic for most older cars.
