It seems famouse deaf composer Mamoru Samuragochi has recently been outed as a fraud. The actual author of his works, Takashi Niigaki, is a 43 year-old music teacher who has been secretly ghost-writing his works. Indeed, Samuragochi may not even been deaf as claimed:

Said Niigaki, "I've never felt he was deaf ever since we met. We carry on normal conversations. I don't think he is (handicapped). At first he acted to me also as if he had suffered hearing loss, but he stopped doing so eventually. He told me, after the music for the video games was unveiled, that he would continue to play the role (of a deaf person)."

I never really understood why people care so much.
If an artist produces good music, then he just simply does.
What do I care if he is deaf or not? Similar to why should I care what pantsu my fav. idol wears?
I am just here for the music, why would I care what troubles an artist goes through, I wouldnt even have the time to read up all that shit, I got my own life to live.

Sorry, I just had to spit it out at some point.
I hate how the music industry today focuses less about valuable, good music and more about displaying an artists life to the public.

Oh noes, I don't believe it, a successful attention whore with fake disability is not the true author of some work. That's absolutely surprising. I'm surprised. The surprise is painting on my face. Here. Surprise. The O of my mouth is the O of surprise.

What a surprising surprise.

It probably doesn't matter much as far as "his" music scores for things like Resident Evil and Onimusha.

But there's a bit more impact for the survivors of the 2011 tsunami; his Hiroshima Symphony No. 1 had been adopted as something of a anthem for the area post-disaster.

This is awesome. It's like an iron boot to the solar plexus of the whole "glamour society".

The Japanese Olympic ice skater had prepared his exhibition on a composition of "his" and truly looked apologetic when he had to explain that he couldn't obviously change it now.

Huh. I wonder if the U.S. media will pick up on it for one of their stupid human-interest stories, or if they'll just continue to ignore the rest of the world (as usual).
