The board was better off when the topic of the medium wasn't split between the boards.
Before we had threads about porting VN engines to android devices. The creation of original content such as novels, or even VN engines created from scratch.
And discussion about translations as well as translated content, including off-shoot threads going off of a tangent of the previous threads.

It's a starved existence of what it used to be. And it's not as if /jp/ is actually brimming with on topic relevant discussion as it is. So more threads about more content wouldn't exactly harm the board.
Disregarding Katawa Shoujo, it would probably help to revitalize the board immensely. Katawa Shoujo is pretty much the only instance of the above going out of hand. But instead of splitting the entire topic in between boards and making it so that there is no true VN board, just banning Katawa Shoujo threads if they spam or talk shit off topic should suffice.

Since when were you under the impression that VNs are video games? They aren't. Hence why they are deleted off of /v/ and are considered ban-worthy content on /v/.

What makes you think Visual Novels are games?

If I may say so, you might want to give her a more distinctive character feature like a small braid.
If the character is still unique when you draw her chibi the design will hold its own in regular form as well.

As for the chibi thing, I think she has a number of recognizable "parts". Straight, black, very long hair, jagged bangs and end of hair, and blue tsurime. I feel like the lack of characteristics IS a characteristic, kind of like Kaguya from Touhou.

But in the end, I agree that it's not as iconic as say, Saber. It's just an expression of my fetishes.
