From one of the most tragic Type Moon characters to a full blown joke character who can't even be played alone in Melty Blood. What the fuck happened to Kohaku, /jp/? Does Nasu hate her?

>> No.11709359

I've never read Tsukihime past Arc's route. It was so dull and short. Are the other ones better?

I think the Far Side routes (Akiha and the maids) are generally agreed to be more interesting

Any fellow otakus just now reading Type Moon's various works? I feel like such a gentlemanly otaku sir :)

The only person who would consider this post 'obnoxious' is the sort of person who doesn't belong here.

Hint for the retarded: it's okay to be new, but keep it on a 'don't ask, don't tell' basis. We don't need to know your important crossboarder English-only opinions on VNs everyone else read ten years ago.

She can be played alone in Melty Blood, in fact, she has been a high/top tier in nearly every edition of the game.

>Does Nasu hate her
No. Nasu hates the entirety of Tsukihime and Kara no Kyoukai. Don't you get that? They are his embarrassments. His little half-made children he reluctantly let go into the world, whose legs were uneven, their hair a mess, and clothes wrinkled. They were him before he was killer.

Do you get it son? Are you pickin' up what I'm layin' down?

Nasu sold the handful of good things present in his early VN just like a hobo bitch without a penny sells her rot stinking mouth?
ARE YOU SURE? REALLY?!
op, the main achievement of typemoon as a company is generating hype about nothing and killing off the expectations of old fans. proportionally, they've spent much more time being shit than producing something decent
the good you see is the parts nasu leaves blank on purpose, so you can see in them what you want
fuck this

>How do they compare to the stuff in FSN?

Tsukihime is boring, edgy, angsty, fanservicy and retarded. So I guess favorably.

>> No.11714380

>>11709381
They are much more psychological than the stuff in F/SN. It's a quite interesting clusterfuck to play through. The whole feeling it has throughout the routes is completely different from what you experience in Fate/Stay Night, mainly because you don't have all of that conflict and so many characters fighting against each other. It's much more about Shiki's story and his relations with the Tohno household inhabitants.

>> No.11714387

>>11710822
I'm not sure people would be able to deal with Satsujinki, and Nasu is probably afraid of picking one route to follow as "canon". He should stop being so attached to his characters and fans preferences, and pick up a route already (even if we know Arc's route is pretty much the canon one). Talk and epilogue have a lot of potencial, and would most likely be much better to read than the time-looping pseudo-sequels Nasu created to justify not being able to pick a true route.

>> No.11714741

>>11714387
Kohaku route is officially canon. Although that may change in the remake.
