My dog died in my arms as we were trying to rush her to the vet. Though what threw the whole moment was that her mouth did this whole Muppet thing. As she was dying, her jaw kept convulsing and she looked like a puppet or one of those animatronic robots, flapping her mouth open and closed. It was pretty damn funny even though my best friend of fifteen years was tragically dying.

I'm not saying that I was laughing at the misfortune of a dying animal or anything like that. My dog was dying and I was really sad, than an ironically amusing thing happened. It's like if everyone was silent at a funeral then someone suddenly broke wind.

It's sad that my dog died and I did cry a lot, but that mouth flapping was funny given the circumstances. It reminded me of Crow from MST3K, if you ever saw that show.

Cats are the truest of truNEET pets. They don't require as much maintenance as dogs so you can be lazy and the cat will still be fine. Plus, you have to earn a cat's respect and trust, and when it goes and snuggles up to you, you really feel the love. My old cat even caught a bird and brought it to me, as if it were trying to help support the family. Cats are also way more mellow than dogs, and more cute.

You can replace dogs with cats and it still would be true. Plus cat claws are significantly more painful then dog claws when they pounce at you. The bigger a dog or cat is, the less aggressive it is, and they don't let you keep large animals as pets, so the dog wins out if you are just going to decide between to two based on how scary they are.

Dogs suck. They're too needy and dependent. Cats are the most NEET friendly animals. They don't give you attention unless there's food involved, they hide when there's trouble, they come out when you're asleep and run around like crazy.
