Watarirouka Hashiritai is disbanding on Christmas. They will release an album. The "Super Complete" version will have their complete discography, whereas the regular version will only have a selection of their songs.

Iwasa Misaki is releasing a third enka single on 1/8.

AKB will be releasing their fifth album on 1/22. The theater edition will include a ticket for a 2-shot.

I applied as a guest in the first round not thinking there would be a difference between that and making an account. But if you win under a guest account, then your only option to pay is via Cash on Delivery, which obviously I cannot do as I don't live in Japan yet, and Tenso (proxy company) doesn't do CoD either. Working with Chara-Ani is pretty tricky. If you applied as a guest, it'll turn out as cash on delivery payment on the Japanese address you provided. If you don't have a friend in there that can pay it for you and you won tickets, you can get blacklisted. Signing up makes it easier since you can choose your payment method. They brought out a swimsuit book, and they've been doing suggestive fully dressed gravure for years. I don't think it's completely against their image to be honest, there's no reason why princess types shouldn't do gravure.
The one that bothers me is HKT keeping a young and pure imouto image while still doing bikini shoots.

Long time AKB follower, first time poster. I just tuned in to watch an AKB performance on Fuji and I was shocked at how much I like NGZ46. Their image is so wholesome which made AKB look trashy by comparison. The girls are cute as fuck too. Anyways, I just wanted to aware a few anons to check them out. You may prefer them. Pic related was my favorite though I don't know her name. The center girl with the short hair was the only drawback that I saw. She seemed very out of place.

Wacky colors, plaid, and hair bows doesn't do it for me anymore. At this point they should just give the girls an allowance and tell them to wear whatever they want. Shonichi tend to be like that, I'm afraid. I eagerly await the day where they're all used to it and have mastered giving it their own personal flavor. Like how I think they totally nailed Dareka no Tame ni stage and gave it an NMB flavor. I personally liked N1 better than the original A3. This coming from someone who was a Team A oshi since Party ga Hajimaru yo stage (still am now, if only for Yui--but I'm more into NMB now).

For the performance and songs themselves, I like what I'm using so far. Although the unit songs are kind of a hit or miss for me. Sayanee's Yume no Dead Body is a standout because of the guitar playing and actual live singing. Still needs room for improvement though. Not sure if it's my bias acting up, but I also loved Nando mo Nerae because of the sheer hilarity and fun music of it (and Maachun center). Kono Sekai ga Yuki no Naka ni Umoreru Mae ni is also a nice song and kudos to Rikanyan and her unit for singing it live. I'm always a sucker for that. I hope they continue on to that path really, with practice, they'll definitely improve. Have to be thankful to Heart Ereki for making the non-lipsync thing alive again. As for the other songs on this setlist, I really liked the songs after the unit songs and after encore, oh and of course the titular song Koko ni datte Tenshi wa iru.

So glad I get to see this stage grow. Just sad that Yui especially Nana are not part of it...guess I can't have them all.

I think AKB management didn't like how much spotlight she was getting in SKE and how integrated she was becoming. She gained a lot of fans when she was with SKE.

I think the only reason Yuko is even captain of Team K is because she's being tied up so she would be reluctant to graduate. Making her feel responsible for the future of AKB, they made sure that no one in K had star power AND leadership skills so she'll be there to groom that person before she really leaves.

Makes me feel sad for Team K actually, the last show they had didn't fill up the theater as Yuko oshis ditched the performance because Yuko couldn't go at the last minute. The regular Team K girls aren't pushed enough to make an impact with fans other than her, and their other "ace" is a concurrent member who's barely there. I agree another member would benefit from it, god knows Shimada wants that position badly to be able to support Yuko and have her do what she should be doing now, but nope. Management is like all is well.

At least that's how I see it.

Japan is all about entrance exams, once you're in university you don't have to do shit. They make it really hard to fail if you show up to class.

And the studying excuse is usually bullshit because a number of schools have an exemption where you can do an essay and interview instead of the entrance exam. That's how a lot of show biz people end up at schools like Waseda.

I just use "Frame Step" and "Take Snapshot", load all frames as layers in GIMP, crop and resize, convert to indexed colors (usually just use 255 colors) and use "Optimize for GIF" to reduce filesize (works best with a static background).
