/sci/ was surprisingly good for a few weeks, then it turned into the "Homework & Atheism" board that we all saw coming. I also don't like how moot named it "/sci/" when there's already a /sci/ text board. Why not "/sm/ - Science & Mathematics"? Then posters can be "/sm/artpeople" and make S&M jokes.

Or it should have been "/aca/ - Academia". That way the focus is less on STEM and more on general learning and knowledge.
