Look, having events in a story be told out of chronological order is nothing new, its simply a writing style and is often used so that readers will read about a seemingly normal event, then later on the author reveals something that makes the reader shat bricks.

E.G. That Kokutoh was actually in a coma during the latter half of chapter 1. At first, you first the later half of the chapter a bit odd after it switches to Kokutoh's perspective, but then you realise WHY.

The problem is that this makes it very hard for anyone who is not a open minded person, or knows what KnK is about(and has read the novels and liked them), to like the movies. Unless they marathon it in one go. Your average guy is going to watch EP1 and go "WTF is this shit? This is lame, shit sux" and drop it, even up till EP3 they STILL have no idea what is going on, and have to keep waiting for more EPs to get released to know what is going on. A lot of people are not patient enough for this.

Not about the order actually, but he's somewhat ashamed about his writing since KnK was written back when he's still somewhat an amateur. He thinks some things need to be fixed, particularly ch.1(he said he want to write it all over again).

But it seems ufotable are too much of a bunch of Type-Moon fags, they refused to let Nasu to do that, and insisted on animating it as it is.

BTW, Nasu himself is convinced that KnK won't work well in visual, but since the idea of making it a series of 7 consecutive high-budgeted movies is rather unique and too tempting to him, he gave ufotable a green light for it.

Stopped watching KnK after the first movie because I didn't know what exactly was going on, who the characters are and so on, initially I even didn't know about Shiki having MEoDP
After the movie I have decided to read first the chapters from the novel, but because I'm such a lazy faggot ... maybe I will wait until Faust#1 comes out as it has the first chapter of KnK..
