So my history book says that prince Shotoku's 17th article constitution strongly promoted buddhism.
But didn't ZUN learn us that Miko actually is against it? I thought his works were more or less correct on these things.

If I remember correctly, Miko's views are that buddhism is good for masses, since it keeps the working class passive and promotes goods deeds, while taoism is for the ruling class with it's practices for achieving ecstasy, longevity and/or immortality.

Of course, I might be mixing canon with fanon.
