/jp/ I am trying to buy a shikibuton
The idea being my bedroom is small, cramped, and I hate coil and spring beds and memory foam.
Problem is I am having the hardest time in the god damn world trying to buy one.
I found a total of one store that sells them, but that's rocking a heafty price of $450 for a twin.
I can get it off j-life but then it's $450 for a queen with $180 shipping (seriously) to canada from the states.
What is the cheapest way to buy a shikibuton? Please /jp/, is there a good, cheap way to get one of these in canada?

Ok let me be more specific in what I'm looking for here.
Is there a website where I can order one of these things, even if it's in japanese, preferably something with global airmail so I don't get raped by shipping?

Well, I hate to say it but even IF you find one reasonably priced it will probably be shit quality/not how the Japanese make them.

Best bet is to go to Japan and get one or have a friend do it. The hardest thing would be the shipping due to how heavy they are.

Hey, I sleep on a Japanese style futon, I can help!

There's a place in Hawaii that makes Japanese style futons, no petrochemicals in them. Plus they're available with wool batting or cotton. I got the wool, and it has been excellent. Shipping was $80 for me, and I live in Alaska. If you live in the continental US, it should be cheaper.

There are a bunch of online stores that sell Japanese furniture, especially in the US.
They are just hard to find.

This place has some pretty cheap bedding and ships USPS to Canada.

He's a huge weeaboo, so he will most likely air his futon regularly. At least once every 3 months, because there's at least one anime girl airing a futon every season, which will remind him that, if he airs his futon, he'll be like the little girl.
