Hey /jp/, I just beat my first 2hu game (EoSD) for the very first time. I got the bad end because I'm a shit at STGs and I still have to use a continue to clear stage 5, but I'm gonna keep practicing 'til I can ace it before I move on to the next one. Does anyone have any tips on improving, past the very basics?

Pic related, how I felt when Remilia blew the fuck up

Hold shift for focused movement.

I, uh... Yeah, maybe I need to familiarize myself with the basics still. Suddenly Marisa doesn't run into bullets every time I tap the movement keys.

There's no way you OP could have beaten it without knowing how to focus.

If that is you, and you're not bullshitting, then you've done the equivalent of training by jogging with iron shoes.

Do people generally use keyboards for this or gamepads/arcade sticks for the analog?

I mean, it's just normal, and I did have to use a continue down to the last life with generous bomb usage, but... Yeah, that was what I was doing. I used Reimu A too, since she's slower and has the homing to make up for the jittery movement. Might explain why I almost always died at least once at Meiling's Rainbow Bullshit. But yeah, I had no idea about that--maybe clearing it without a continue will be easier than I thought.

I used a keyboard with default controls, but I don't own a gamepad so I wouldn't know if it was easier.

Grats, anon. I remembered how I beat EoSD some time ago. I wasn't very good at STGs and just shit all my way through Stage 6. I played just once a month then. You should play more types of 2hu, it really helps.

Thanks man, glad to spread the good feels. I'm eager to play some more; I've already burned through all the official print works, so playing more games is the only way I can get further into the canon storyline.

You didn't beat anything if you used continues.
