Are any Touhous proficient with computers?

Yukari, probably.

I'd imagine Nitori would know at least SOMETHING about them...

>> No.11259471

Probably. Supposedly Eientei has an Intenet hookup, which they could share, and Kourin can get modern electronics on his store shelves.

What the fuck kind of dumbass question is that?

I've literally spammed Kaguya with computer images for years. Are you blind or just a massive newfag?

Ran is a computer.
More or less.

I once had a dream that Cirno stole my computer. It was strange because it was a Mac and I own a PC.

Kaguya having even seen a computer before is fanon.

I don't think anyone would be able to gleam anything from my history. It's all a jumble of moonrunes and /jp/ archives.

I wish I was into weird things, just so someone would ask what I was into, and I would have something interesting to say.

Is there an extension that would let me save images with a single click, as opposed to clicking "save as" and then opening the file location window, and then clicking OK, every time?

I want to go to Gensokyo and build some sort of primitive computer. Not something boring with vacuum tubes and magnetic coils or whatever, but like those computers people build in Minecraft. Maybe it could be powered by magic.

Together with Nitori and Patchouli, I'll complete the computer science course I never finished. We'll make computers so fast and so powerful that the outside world will tremble when we hit the Singularity and destroy it.

>We'll make computers so fast and so powerful
You'll either need extreme amounts of space and material (very unlikely) or production techniques that allow you to make miniscule modifications with practically no margin of error. For the latter, you would need to be an expert in many fields to single-handedly make such a thing possible. The technical performance of a computer doesn't really depend on the materials used (it's mostly really cheap shit) but rather on how small and precise you can make it.

>> No.11260095

>>11260089
You forget we're talking about Gensokyo here.

Any and all common sense and logic gets thrown to the wind there.

>> No.11260132

>>11260095
We were talking about computers. You could make a powerful magical calculation device, but you can't make a powerful computer even with magic. (Actually, you can, but you face the same problems - for example, you could build the parts in a large size and shrink them down, but you'd still need lots of materials and proper control on the magical shrinking.)

What is a difference engine

>> No.11260136,1 [INTERNAL]

Touhou is no longer /jp/ related.

>> No.11260136,2 [INTERNAL]

>>11260136
Assuming you're referring to the analytical engine (as the difference engine was simpler and not turing-complete), it's an actual conceptual mechanical computer from the 19th century. It has the same limitations as an electronic computer would have (except it would be harder to have modern-tier performance due to physics messing with it much more than it does with electronics).

>> No.11260136,3 [INTERNAL]

Is the archive used for the sole purpose of bitching?

>> No.11260136,4 [INTERNAL]

>>11260136,3
One of the many purposes of the archive. Some people have scripts that redirect them to the archive whenever they hit a 404 on 4chan, so there's a reply box right in front of them when they find out that a thread they were following was just deleted. It only makes sense that bitching about deletions is posted to the archives.

Viewing CP on the archive is like watching porn on TV. Sure, it's possible, but you're really wasting your time and there are much better ways to go about it.
