Anyone have an internet friend who was honestly more of a friend than the friends you may have had in real life? I did.

I eventually started drifting away from him because of depression, dropping out of university, and overall being a worthless faggot. I don't have any friends anymore. But, he's the one person I'd like to talk to again, out of anyone I used to know. I remember getting one final message from him saying he hopes I'm not dead or anything like that. The only person I know that had a passion for otaku related shit like I do and probably knows Japanese by now. He is really a genuine /jp/ friend that I lost. Almost five years later I still feel so terrible and will continue to feel this way until I kill myself or old age takes me.
