I want to buy some bamboo swords online. I've seen some pretty crappy ones ad other ones that might be crappy. I don't want to take y chances.

Look up Kendo equipment suppliers. If it's a store specializing in Kendo gear then you should be able to find a descent shinai.

i bought mine in a small shop in tsuchiura city in ibaraki. same place i got all my kendo gear. its run by a old jiji who makes his daughter serve tea when you go and forces you to eat really crap ginger and brown sugar candy and keeps repeating the same few english words he knows over and over again.
But i gave up kendo a few months ago, was always hungover the morning i had it ang got yelled at alot

Terminally clueless or complete troll? Fuck knows. Sure, you can find swords that cost that much or more, but then we're looking at spotless blades from some of the most well-known and influential of Japanese swordsmiths. You can get very, very good "art quality" blades with a few hundred years behind them for a tenth of that, and it isn't like the dealers are rare either.
