So, do you think bamboo will succeed in his crowdfunding stunt? I personally think it's silly coming from eroge of all things and kind of wish it fails so this doesn't become commonplace for remakes, but come on, surprise me, industry. Maybe you can think of something I haven't.

It did well enough to warrant an anime, a fandisc and a side story. It's not on the same level as YoakeMae's apparent popularity, but it seems to have surpassed Fortune Arterial, which had an anime that flopped pretty hard and might have been the cause for cancelling the PS3 and PSP ports.

I have no idea how their pre-Yoake games did, though. Actually, I don't think I've ever seen anyone in this thread talking about them unless it's complaining about the sameface issues.

I lost all my Umineko saves when I transfered stuff to my new computer, and I kinda want to relive some of the crazier moments from Chiru.

I was wondering if someone knows where I can find a set of saves spread across all of Chiru? Or if someone could upload their saves (assuming there is a lot of them and they're decently spread out)?

Might be late to chime in back that is a terrible VN, I'm typically the patient type and this VN bored me to death, I had to quit mid way through because the writing just deteriorates so badly.

Not bad at all, kind of long and over-narrated and pretty much Dies Irae with cyborg but it's pretty readable.
I felt a bit bored by the first 2 routes but they were short, the last 2 routes are pretty entertaining even if it never reaches Dies Irae's level or even close.

can anyone inform me a little about Appare Tenka Gomen? i really liked shin koihime series and i wanted to play some game like it,since it seems like pretty same with it, decided to play this. so which one is better, koihime or this? also how many ending does it have, is it like shin koihime which have 3 main categories or have different ending for all characters? one more question, what is Appare Tenka Gomen Matsuri? is it a fandisc like Moeshouden or continuation from last game for the plot?

I had the exact same problem when I first started reading stuff in Jap. Picked and dropped stuff all the time while cluttering my HDD and couldn't really bring myself into finishing any of the easy-to-read moeges.

Kajitsu has a really long common route that's mostly just comedy with proper drama unfolding in the character routes so don't except getting to the real deal very soon. In a way the whole game is a long prologue made to introduce the characters and the world, though Makina's Kajitsu route was my favorite part from the entire series.

That actually sounds like what I'm looking for. One of the biggest issues I've been having with the VNs I pick is that the drama seems to be manufactured out of nowhere.

Can someone help me find a specific yaoi / trap / shounen ai VN? IIRC some guys on /jp/ were discussing it months ago (could have been this very general) but I didn't save any of the screenshots posted at the time so image search engines won't be helping me.

There were two screenshots I remember:
One was pic of a generic school guy and the dark skinned love interest kissing. I think the message box read something like そして僕(or possibly 俺)達は男同士のキスを交わした. Both were sitting on a school desk.
The other one was the dark skinned love interest lying on a bed (fully clothed or under blankets, I don't remember which one) and looking at the reader's POV.

I'm not completely sure about this but the dark skinned could have had the Indian facial decoration (red dot) on his forehead.

Finishing Yuuna's route in kanishino, a lot better than Sumika/Misaki, really interesting twists and characterization from what it looked at first to be bland and boring.
Also I just love that it goes well for Kanade and Akatsuki, I'm rooting for them in all routes, she's so lovable.

Currently reading Gahkthun. This is the first Japanese anything that I've seen extensively use imperial units. I'm not too familiar with them so I have to say especially the weight units confuse me. Just wondering, is it or was it the same for Americans in here with metric units whenever they are used? Or do Americans actually use them enough to know them well?

I found the very beginning of Totono's trial to have a pretty good atmosphere. The little else I've played so far is also managing to be unsettling, though I guess that part of it might be attributed to me expecting weird things in the first place and looking for sub-context that might not even be there. Like how there hasn't been more than a single character on screen so far, at least that I remember.

This CG and it's variation would probably work as one of those tiny GIFs with subtle movement designed to scary you.

It's amazing how the first chapter of DR2 was better executed than nearly the entirety of DR1. The first trial managed to keep you on your toes, and Komaeda pulling a Junko so early on upped the tension. It was great how they kept making throwbacks to DR1 as well by Monokuma taunting the characters about them all having met before especially when that's exactly what the player is assuming if they've gone from DR1 straight to DR2.

Enjoy the rest of the game, it's really something.
