There are stage themes are better than boss themes, but they can't be boss themes because they're not "boss themes".Shanghai Teahouse is much better than whatever Meiling's theme was called, but its not a boss theme, it would sound weird. Same with Cantionnian Festival for Magical Girls, can you imagine fighting Flandre it it? Its too slow paced.

Heian Alien is my favorite EX theme though. It's really barbaric and uncompromising, I really love that.

I suppose so, I tend to be very mixed on EX themes. I don't really like Koishi's, Flan's or Nue's. If there's anything I gravitate towards it's the stage 5 themes. For some strange reason I tend to dislike stage 5 boss themes though.

Well, those are the most extreme ones, so I can understand not liking them that much, especially Koishi's. I personally like all EX themes more or less though. My least favorite is probably Native Faith. I like the melody in itself but the original version I find incredibly tedious. It's too fast and repetitive for me.

The stage 5 themes are always the hardest to pick a single favorite from. They're all so good.
