Lately I've been trying to lucid dream a lot, but I'm having trouble controlling the dream.

I do my reality check, then I repeat out loud what I wanted my dream to be about (Which I would come up with before I go to sleep).

#81 and #91 are examples of what happens when I attempt to lucid dream. Either I forget that I am lucid, or I don't get what I really wanted.

in fact, my latest dream that I was lucid in, I couldn't get absolutely anything to happen.

There is no way to control your dreams, lucid dreaming only works to a small extent, it isn't like virtual reality. Also, you probably won't remember the dream after 5 minutes anyway.

Before I fall asleep I start to imagine talking to the touhou I would like to dream about. It works 80% of the time. Of course there is no guarantee that the dream will be a pleasant one. I like to finish off my dreams when I wake up by imagining the finale.

I think I'll give that try. I sleep with my Touhou dakimakuras so I guess I can try to talk to them when I'm trying to sleep, and keep the image in my mind when I have my eyes closed.

The only time I honestly dreamed about what I wanted was when I was playing ML Extra a long time ago and I couldn't decide who I liked, so I told myself that whatever character was in my dream, that I would pick her for my last route.

As you're going to sleep, the receptive areas of your mind become active and you start to receive thoughts that aren't yours. Or, more accurately, you receive stimulation. This receptive state is actually necessary for sleep. The reason insomniacs are stuck awake is because they eat salty and processed foods which block out the receptive areas of the mind. So when they lay down, it's utterly silent, and even though they're tired, they can't sleep because they can't direct attention away from the physical, and they have to think about movies and arguments to fill the silence. Even if they do fall asleep, it's more of a stupor and they wake up feeling like they didn't sleep at all. A more healthy person begins to receive external stimulation as they get tired, which they turn their attention to, and their body goes to sleep while they focus on the incoming information.

So it works mostly if you're very tired and fading in and out of sleep.

I do remember them. There are a few dreams that impact me deeply and I end up writing them down so I will never forget. Most of my dreams never reach a conclusion. I would like to think the reason for that is because I myself always get excited but end up losing focus and I just give up.

For me its fun to try to imagine the ending of them. It passes the time. If I'm lucky, I just go back to sleep and my dream begins from the last place it stopped. I've done this a lot for unrelated touhou dreams. The touhou ones seem to have a rare chance of continuing.

Here is the easy way.

Well OP here, I tried to dream abotu touhous by adding a few dozen lewd picures under my pillow.

Did not really work out, I had a dream where I was in my own old boyscout camping lodge thing, and it was run by an old nun. All the kids in there were in their 20s and all fo them brittish and dressed like a football team, except me. Then the people there decided to take over the lodge and started a dictatorship of sorts in there, and I got angry and decided that if they woudl try to harm me my answer for that would be death with a pocket knife. Needless to say everytime one attacked me and got killed, another one would see it and then attack me as well, and the process woudl repeat itself. At some point I found the old nun bound in a closet and a bit bruised, so I let her go and she walked with me to the youngsters main house where their leader was, and during this I told her that this is a shame since I liked this lodge thingy and if I would have had kids someday I'd make them come here. Then I had to fight about 6 of those young men on a cold wet football field, and after I had cutted the one with the two uzis sitting in a wheelbarrel I woke up

Dreams are affected by what you experience throughout the day, so, try to think about touhous during the day, a few good fantasies in the afternoon or before you go to sleep might do the trick, checking your touhou folder or even playing the games can also help.

Hypnobros, how did you get past the language barrier? Were you already fluent in Japanese when you started listening to the files?

I understand enough to listen to voice CDs in general, but hypnosis seems like it requires a much deeper understanding, since you won't have your conscious mind to attempt to interpret everything like it usually does with a language you're not fluent in.
