yea, no. MP15-22, saiga iz240 (i converted it to standard configuration however i still need to fit the muzzle brake), Cz82, 1895 nagant, and 1873 cattleman.

The mosin is a beautiful finnish M39 i picked up a few years back at a private sale at a gunshow. The tang marking IIRC was 1905 from the izmash factory and i have reason to believe it was a dragoon before the finns got a hold of it.

im hesistant to bring any otaku paraphaneilia to the range again. I used to keep most of my ammo in a strike witches shoulder bag. i left it unatended for about 30 min to get some drinks and a sandwich from my car, when i came back i found out some little fucker magdumped a .22 into my bag. i confronted the party about it (seeing how my group and their group were the only ones at the range that day and all of my group was with me). and even though they know their shitstain of a son shot up my bag, they wouldnt admit to it even though i kept pressing them.

granted after i got over the rage of having my bag and a bunch of ammo shot up and ruined, it does look pretty neet. if i ever bring shit like that to a range again it will not leave my sight.

Wish I had some very nice things, just got an AK, Glock 9mm and the obligatory nugget. Saving up my money to get a real battle rifle like a original HK91 or SCAR-H but it looks like it will take about a year of penny pinching.

also they have better things to do than waste their time over my shot up (but still usable bag) and loss of maybe $12 worth of ammo and a gatorade. it was more the principal of the matter. you simply dont fuck with other peoples stuff. most of them were typical redneck trash. there weretwo nice guys in the group who offered to give me some of their personal ammo. i refused however and told them i was more upsed over the principal and i wasnt going to take their ammo because they wern't the offending party.

what AK and what mosin do you have? The HK91 is great, however why not look into a G3 or build your own CETME from a parts kit? the SCAR is on my list of things to eventually do but damn thats a lot of money. but... being single has its advantages. when i pass my paramedic certification next year ill be pulling in lots of cash, and with no gf to spend it on that means lots o guns.

I've actually owned a 91/30 before. i also happen to own a rusted out dragoon with a bent bolt that im planning on mounting inside a blank psl54c reciever and turning into some sort of bastardized bolt action svd.

ANYWAYS. the 91/30 is much lighter (so it has a bit more of a kick to it), but also felt kind of flimsy. the wood was a lot thinner in lots of areas and didn't seem to shoot as well. When the Finns captured and reworked the weapons they modified them greatly including better barrels, sights, and glass bedding the barrels. my m39 stock just feels solid. theres no other way to describe it. it is quite a bit heavier (and a couple inches shorter) than an 91/30, but there is no doubt in my mind i could drop that thing off a cliff and the would would be in tact.

if you ever have the opportunity to shoot of buy a finn, DO IT. they are a bit more pricey though. back when i bout mine m91 ruskie variations were around $100 and i bought mine for $295.

tl'dr - they are both fine weapons but the m39 is over all a more solid and better built gun

Its a regular ol wasr-10. picked it out of a group in a gunstore many years ago and got lucky that it didn't have canted sights or bad mag wobble. As for the HK91 I figure if I'm going to save up and spend in the SCAR price range I'd want an authentic HK not a Hesse, PTR, Century or whatnot.

ah, good job on the wasr. i've read horbile things about them and seen a couple ones that had awful machine work at shows before.

yet the only one ive ever shot some bro-teir army dude had the range. he let me have a go with his AR and his WASR, and damn that WASR was just as accurate as my saiga. i was going to buy one but this recent scare has made getting anything a nightmare. im thinking when i get one in x39 ill just build one from a parts kit.
