It is opposite with me. She was my initial favorite character simply because of Alice in Wonderland so she was a "familliar" character to me in the cast. But once I got into the series she just plummeted. However after the backlash against Marisa Stole the Precious Thing passed now I find her very cute again, especially after reading both doujins and canon manga.
