Dakimakura Pricing/Thoughts

So I thought about picking up a dakimakura recently, but I don't want to spend heaps on one. I will post 2 ebay links for price comparison and also I was just curious if anyone here has one similar to these in terms of build quality, etc.

I said it before but I'll say it again. You pay what you get for regarding dakimakura, every time. The only exception may be if the cover is sold out everywhere and the price gets inflated. The more expensive one likely has better quality fabric, but you should ask the seller(s) first if they aren't posting that information.

I forgot to add that better quality fabric generally means they are much more smooth and silky, so they will feel nicer overall.

A friend of mine bought one from the $79 seller and his came with like a mini daki. He doesn't have the inside for it to show me as it's still shipping but he's been trying to get me to buy one.

Aside from snagging occasionally, I find that peachskin is incredibly soft and comfortable. Which is noteworthy as its used in a great deal of the cheaper chinese knock offs.

Not that guy but yes I notice a huge different between the knock off covers I have and the official ones that I've shelled out for. One thing which are important but never really considered, are good pillows, you can get a cheap maternity pillow from ebay or from BB&B but investing in a proper firm pillow with good stuffing makes it a lot more comfortable and adds to that "holding a person" feeling that you're trying to emulate.

Yes, four in fact. The cheapest one I have is worth 5000 yen, and the other three are between 10,000 and 13,000 yen. The more expensive the cover, the better they feel. They were all worth it, but I wish my 5000 yen cover was available in higher quality because it doesn't feel nearly as smooth as my others.

So this peach skin that I am looking at is it of a decent quality? I mean I just wanna make sure not only is it soft, but more-so durable like are there ones where if you machine wash it too much will it lose quality? Is there a specific way you should wash them?

The one 2nd from the left done by fujy is from d-dakimakura.com, but they're sold out of her now. They may be in stock other places though. The other one by nishimura nike I got for a present, so I'm not sure. But if you google search the image from here you may find it.

I got my first daki cover in the mail today. Will the 150x50cm cospa pillow fill it out properly? I really don't like the idea of having a very wrinkly daki.

Well, it depends on how big the cover is. Is it also 150x50? If so it should be fine. Just try it out.

That was my first one too, and the reason why I got in to dakimakura.
