I shop at the local Lidl often and all they have is large shopping carts, so if you're buying more than a few items you have to get one.

Lidl is so confusing. For one thing you can't go out the entrance door, you have to go through the tills. This makes me feel really awkward if I don't want to buy anything.

For another thing it's one of those shops where you have to pay for bags. One time I bought all this stuff and the lady just dumped it all there, and my anxiety was starting to go up but I managed to squeak "Can I have a bag please?" and she said "You have to buy them" as though it was the most obvious thing in the world, and pointed to where they were. Then I had to walk past all these people queueing behind me. They all hated me because I was holding them up, and they were all laughing at me because I didn't know how to shop at Lidl. Then I spent ages getting my things in the bags because I'm really clumsy and everyone in the shop knew and they all hated me.

Many grocery stores in Germany make you pay for plastic bags. Didn't bring your own bag? Fuck you, buy a our bag or stand there like a retard trying to carry all your stuff home.
