I also went to 7chan, and was disappointed by the lack of /jp/ (they do have an /a/, but /a/ sucks, everywhere).

I went to the anime con in Montreal (Otakuthon) since it's right next to me, and it was my first time at such an event. If you ignore the hordes of 14-year-old kids dressed up as pokemons and Naruto, the adult stuff was decent, and there was a Type-Moon panel which I unfortunately missed (went only one day). I appreciated 秒速５ｃｍ　and the "Hard Gay" special. SZS was also better than I expected.

I was sorely disappointed, however, with the lack of true weeaboo material (NO RAW MANGA ANYWHERE, no doujin either), and the yaoi faggotry (oh God, the yaoi fangirls - they were FAT, numerous, and had huge time slots for their shit).

I played Persona 3 mostly. Is it just me or are the bosses in this game brutal? I just fought a boss last night that could charm all of my guys, did a wind attack that took the majority of everyone's health, casted reflect on itself, and casted death. >It wasn't so muched moved as dumped into /jp/. Normal futaba etiquette is one thread per subject but in reality end up having a few for popular or currently airing shows. Touhoufags where having dozens of threads live at once, one for each game, some doujin threads, bunch of random troll threads etc. and they where doing this every single day. Worst of all these threads where being created by a small number of users and it was getting to the point where even people who loved playing touhou games were sageing the threads. The net result was the obvious community reaction, whenever a touhou thread was posted on /a/ or /v/ (especially /v/) it would be met with a shitstorm of sages so there was no way a dozen touhou threads on the board without bans.

>Thus all the copies of touhou where locked in a box and tossed into the board of /jp/ with there users now summarily executed for posting about the subject on /a/ or /v/. Every now and then they try and get back into /a/ claiming something like there is an offical manga now or whatever they can think of but they are swiftly sent back into excile. No doubt one day a touhou anime will be made and they will try and get back in by only ever posting caps of the anime in the OP and a huge touhou shitstorm will errupt on /a/ again.
