I just "finished" the game in like an hour but am still missing a bunch of scenes.

Do you get scenes from losing? Beating them by rank instead of bankrupting them?

4p is pure luck. There is no way you can get 1st if you are stuck with shitty hand with no doras and cant get past iishanten hell while dealer runaway with quick mangan/haneman tsumo. There is no way you can recover from that unless you can get quick high scoring hand if the leader just keep going for cheap fast tanyao/yakuhai hand.

3p on the other hand everything is under your control. tsumo is badly nerf so you can always pay them back with a damaten and tricked them with chiitoitsu and doras are given out like free candies so any deficits can be recovered.

You need to win certain hands against each heroine to unlock their extra scene. Like against mylene you need to win with sanankou to see her other hscene.

If you are good, you can always avoid getting last in 3p. Just that in 3p, you are always in control. It is not like in 4p where you can suddenly get raped by a fucking baiman tsumo while you are dealer and suddenly you are behind by 8k and you cant do shit against that.

Paying even when you get first is kind of a pain though so I'd like to try a "real" parlor but I have no idea what the rates are like, how good people are or if they don't mind foreigners.

Go play 3P and compare which mode is easier to play to defensively.

Big hands luck even out in the same han chan since it is common. In fucking 4p it is rare as shit and you might go for like 3han chan without any mangan hand and then luck into 3 in a row in a single han chan.

Exactly my point.
You can see someone discard a 4 and 5 in like the 3rd or 4th turn in 3p and you will be like fuck.
In 4p, you generally dont have to worry and you can roughly know how big the opponents hands will be if you have doras and can see the # of visible doras in the pool.

That doesn't even make sense. If you're playing against equally skilled people, You should get 4th about 1/4th of the time.

Unless you're saying it's easy to not get in 4th just by not even trying to do well, and playing defensively or going for fast yakuhai hands the whole time.
