In truth, the cyclical, non-progressive infinite loop of working for money, coming home, socializing with family then returning to work puts most of society in a position of stasis and stunted mental growth.

Only those who are able to escape from everything and everyone have the opportunity of expanding their mind through reading and learning without social diversion. That's how genius is born in the ivory tower.

I used to follow PUA stuff even if I wasn't particularly interested in applying it. Through some forum I found a guy's personal website. He used a dumb pseudonym like "Radd" and he kept an online diary of all his pick-up attempts. Every one of them was a failure and they gradually got more and more depressing ("I tried showing her a card trick and she laughed at me with her friends", that sort of thing).

At some point he gave up and hired a prostitute. Then there were no entries for months until one where he found out he had chlamydia.

I suppose this is a fairly rare case, but it made me realize how dangerous PUA is. They're teaching men all this stupid superhero bullshit that appeals to them, and all it does is lower their self-worth and, in cases like these, causes real physical damage.

There are worse scams out there, but I really hope all these people making ebooks and podcasts get arrested for fraud. It's not fair how they mislead gullible virgins.

Stop backing out of your own insults when you even admitted they were insults and justifying your poor word choice that people should have the reading comprehension to pass up on how much of an asshole you are being.

>Because those aren't completely interchangeable in the form of an insult right?
"Ignorant of university" isn't necessarily an insult, that would be a fact for someone who really has no experience in one, but calling people who have not gone to university "ignorant children" is clearly an insult, which you yourself have admitted. It means you devalue people who haven't gone, this isn't just about the view in an employer's eyes. You're clearly equating your own view of someone's worth as that employer's. Thus, they are ignorant children if they have not gone through the system that you yourself say isn't even about learning. You want to have your cake and eat it too.

I don't think being a shut-in stunted my mental growth at all, in fact, quite the opposite. Since I dropped out of school I learned Japanese, drawing, programming, 3d modelling and a bunch of other minor skills, and my general knowledge as well as critical thinking skills have expanded tenfold.

I do find it harder to focus because of the endless distractions of the internet, but I've been working on fixing that and it's getting better.

I really don't think school is good for your mental growth. All that you learn there are dry facts that you can look up on wikipedia in a few minutes. And you forget 90% of that anyway.

Jobs are fucking awful. Why would you want to end up like this guy?

There's no reason why you should have to work a full eight hours unless you're hopelessly addicted to a cushy consumer lifestyle and you can't live without a few luxuries.

I'm living comfortably on less than $500 a month and I could even make some cuts to my budget if I needed to and live off $200 or $300. With the internet there are so many ways to make money without needing to imprison yourself in the 9-5 slavewage grind.

For example, I just take pictures. I love it and it only takes a couple hours once or twice a week. I grab my camera and I head into the woods or to some other place and just enjoy the day. I take macro shots of insects, pictures of particularly pretty areas of the woods, pictures of turtles and frogs, occasionally I get lucky and I can take some pictures of some deer without them spotting me and running off. It's great fun, it's like hunting and exploring but without the killing.

I can take those pictures and I sell some of them to those stock photo websites and the rest I just throw on a few different blogs I made so I can get money from the ads on the page.

Renting apartments is a big scam. Half the time they will have you spending over $800 a month for such a tiny place.

I just live in my van. Converting a van into a living space is a really simple process and it doesn't cost much at all. After you do that you only have to deal with the expenses of the car and the small fee of either renting a space in an RV park or just buying an acre or two of your own land and parking there.

Either way it's a fraction of what you will end up spending if you rent an apartment. Vans can be surprisingly comfortable, I've lived in mine for several years and I have a dog as well. Doesn't feel cramped at all and I have plenty of room to move around.

I would say that buying land is the best option if you live in an area where land is affordable though. In most areas it only costs a couple thousand to buy an acre of land that is in a pretty secluded area, but still close enough that you can hook up to power or pick up wifi. Then you only have to deal with the land taxes and that's minuscule since you're living in a van on undeveloped land, it's usually $100 a year or less.
