There have always been two types of NEET. One seems genuinely happy and content living a life with a dim future and minimal social interactions.

The other is pretty much the opposite in that they long first and foremost for social interaction. Most everything in their life is governed by their desire for interaction. Following that they would like a promising future, which usually means worrying about entering schooling or training of some sort eventually in the future. Finally, they're discontent with the labels society has put on them and would like to change their lives for the "better".

Disgusting people, that second group. They really are the lowest of the low. Especially all the people here wanting to get a job, longing for friends outside and being depressed about their NEET lifestyle. Just die already if you are so sad about your NEET life.

There's nothing inherently depressing about the NEET life.

People need a purpose in life to feel happy, something that's very important to them and makes them feel excited when they wake up in the morning. The problem that some NEETs encounter is that they slip into this state of hedonistic lethargy and just stagnate their days away consuming entertainment and becoming increasingly desensitized to the pleasure that it brings them until it gets to the point that none of their normal hobbies bring them happiness.

This isn't a problem with the NEET lifestyle, it's just the end result of indulging in rampant hedonism for an extended period of time. If a NEET can find a challenging and meaningful goal that they can strive towards, something that they really care about and love, then there is no depression as a NEET.

People just need to stop thinking that ambition is related to the wage slave careers that everyone is chasing after. There's so many enjoyable and challenging things that you can be ambitious about that have nothing to do with money or getting a job.

What are some things that you enjoy doing? Do you ever dream about doing things that you don't normally do?

About six years ago the stagnation was starting to get to me and I started learning Japanese since that seemed like an interesting goal at the time. That went well, but after a few years I started to feel like I was stagnating again. Now I'm camping in the woods on a regular basis and hunting. It's completely different from anything I've ever done before, but it's incredibly invigorating and fills my head with all sorts of dreams. Now I'm planning to move out west once I've saved up some autismbux and I'm going to become a hermit.

You just have to switch things up and try out new and challenging things. Stagnation is just what happens when you do the same thing too often.

The elephant in the room that normies don't want to talk about is that they're all far more poor than the average NEET.

They try to forget about it and make themselves feel better by riding around in their flashy cars and living in their big houses, but they didn't actually buy these things. Almost every normie that you see lives a life of indentured servitude because they chose to build their entire life on a foundation of debt. Every single thing they own is bought with loans or credit and they are in so much debt that they will never be free. They couldn't stop working if they wanted to be a NEET, their bills will follow them until they die.

Most of these people start their lives of debt before they're even 20 years old. It starts as soon as you buckle yourself in with all of that student loan debt and it will just get worse and worse until you're completely broke and living off borrowed money.

I think that emulating the life of the hunter-gatherer and adding in a few modern conveniences is the ultimate evolution of the NEET.

Live in a sturdy tent or a yurt, have a laptop that's powered by solar, hunt for your food, grow some simple crops, and do all of this while taking it easy and relaxing in the beauty of nature.

It's all of the comforts of the NEET life, but in a beautiful location and you're completely disconnected from the unpleasantness of living in the modern world. No bills to pay, no socialization, no noisy cars. It's just you, the beauty of nature, your laptop, and maybe a dog if you wanted a pet.

It's wasteful and sadistic. Taking a life isn't something that you should do for fun and if you do kill an animal then you should use as much of it as you possibly can so that the animal's body doesn't go to waste.

Living things have to die so that other living things can live, the same is true whether you eat plants or animals. That's just how life works, but if you just kill for pleasure and you don't use the body to feed yourself then it's sadistic. It's no different than those creepy little kids who snap the necks of rabbits or stab their dogs for fun.

Most normal people are already so miserable with their mountains of debt that have forced them to spend most of their lives slaving away in jobs that they despise that taking a pill that makes them stop wanting to kill themselves seems like a miracle cure.

To any sane and happy person this pill is just apathy in a capsule, but when your life is so shit that the only sensible course of action is suicide (average normie's life) then they work great.

Dogs will give you unconditional love and won't hesitate to die fighting for you if someone tries to harm you. Cats can be loving too, but not to the same degree.

As a NEET who has been left alone in the house for a week with a cat and a dog: dogs need too much attention. With my cat, I just feed her and let her outside when she needs either. I can leave the room and she doesn't care.

My dog on the other hand needs company all the time, has to be walked, has to be groomed. My sleeping pattern is usually sleeping all day then staying awake all night. With a cat that's fine. With the dog? Forget it. Have to be awake at the same time as the dog because she needs walked or else she'll shit all over the carpets. Fun.

Basically cats are more independent. They like to be left alone, like NEETs. Dogs require too much attention.

Being a NEET is MUUUUUUUCCCCCHHHH better than working long hours at a stressful job you despise and living in a big house all alone, like me. TRUST ME.

Enjoy the freedom!

My dachshund isn't much of a fighter, really.

>I hate it when dogs beg for food while I'm eating
This surprised me the most when I got my first cat. I thought cats were more predatory and would try to claim my food as his own, but instead he just fell asleep next to me. Maybe they enjoy the hunt more.

I'd actually like to live in a big house all alone but all the upper-class slavedrivers who have never had to be normals own everything and I have to work for them and pay them rent if I want to get anywhere.
