Just look at him! there he stands,
With his nasty hair and hands.
See! his nails are never cut;
They are grimed as black as soot;
And the sloven, I declare,
Never once has combed his hair;
Anything to me is sweeter
Than to see Shock-headed Peter.

By googling it just now, I found out that it has some shitty new movie based on it, which I'll completely ignore forever.

I used to read that a lot as a child. Are you by any chance Chilean?

As for my favorite, it has to be The Happy Prince. Read it again a couple of years ago and cried like a little girl.

>The Lorax is a 2012 American computer-animated 3D musical comedy film

Why do they do this?

Dr. Seuss had a cool style to his illustrations and they're exactly the sort of pictures than benefit from hand-drawn, traditional animation. The "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" animated special was great and I'd love to see some 21st century professional animators do the same thing with another Dr. Seuss story, but they keep releasing stupid live action and 3D crap. You stupid fucking faggots how can you be so bad at movies?

Is this true? I know kids are idiots, but I remember caring as a kid. Maybe I didn't say, "OH BOY THE KEY FRAMES ON THIS ARE GREAT. I WONDER IF THEY ROTOSCOPED THIS PART?" but I could at least appreciate the style of a movie and the effort put into it.

Kids aren't going to remember Bee Movie or Hotel Transylvania with any sort of fondness or nostalgia. I am a psychic wizard so trust me on this.

This was my favorite in my childhood.
But also "Momo", and "the Night of wishes".
Michael Ende was a truly fantastic writer.

Oh cool, it's a real doujinshi?

I liked those books. I read them as a teenager and they felt like the sort of thing the kind of teenagers I liked might like, so I liked them.

>> No.10191282

I had a children's book on world history and the last chapter was about the future: how we'd all have computers with access to the World Wide Web by the year 2000, how we'd have cool robots by 2050, how "some scientists" thought we'd have brain implants and virtual reality and all that stuff.

I fucking loved that book and I don't even remember any of the stuff that was the main point of what it was supposed to teach me.
