I've started playing Kamikaze Explorer because I heard it's good practice. It's pretty boring so far and I have a hard time keeping myself concentrated but that may be because my Japanese isn't that good.

Any good chuuni games? I've played all Light games, all Nitro+ games, all Propeller games, most Akabei brands' games, most Leaf games, most liar-soft games if those count, Ayakashi, and Killer/Secret Game. Or rather, is there any brand know for chuuni, or some sort of database/tag for it? Lately only over-the-top shit like chuuni, so-called "thrillers" can keep my interest.

Parfait can be read independently but it has a lot of references to Chocolat so it's better to read Chocolat first.
There is also several side stories that share the cast of both, Rea who is a main heroine in Parfait appear in a story within Chocolat for example.

Konyaku is completely stand-alone though and really only the FD link it to the Chocolat series

Well not all of them are what I'd call great, Alicematic for example only get good during the battles that are pretty badass, rest of the time it's kind of mediocre, but you should like them if you want action/chuuni.

Also there is 11eyes or Fortissimo but frankly I don't like them so I can't really recommend them

Thanks, I'll try them out. The good thing about these types of games is that they're usually quite long so each takes a good chunk of time to complete, but I have felt like I've been running out of things to play lately, compared to the "oh god there's so much to read I'll never leave the house again" feeling I had when I first started. Maybe it's time to start moving on to doujin things soon.

It's new, but with a focus on the lighter side of the characters (needless to say, I doubt there'll be any torture here). How they're going to edge a good side out of Auger is anyone's guess, but I'm sure willing to see them try. It'll also include routes for Nesso's partner, and... Pearl and Richie. I'm unsure if the route will include the pair of them or will they get their own separate routes, but eh.

More than to the other 3 at least.
It has a couple of recurring concepts and Sharnoth actually goes and explains our world in the steampunk setting instead of just using dictionary for some things. I'd recommend it before, both good games anyway, and neither is particularly long.

twinkle crusaders is pretty easy too
most minato-soft games and their collabs

if on pc, just use a agth and fill in the few words you don't know, because most languages are the same words over and over again with a few others here and there

Rakuen is one of my favorite charage.
It's funny, well paced, the cast is charming and you'll actually learn a thing or two about how eroge are made.
It also has a pretty realistic and "crude" feeling which is pretty nice, the characters who are otaku themselves aren't simple parody like you usually in other eroge or anime.

I don't know about the other writers, I just know Fujisaki wrote Makina and Amane and are considered a notch above the rest. From what I've seen so far it's not difficult to agree unless you particularly like a heroine so that it makes up for the rest.

Fujisaki who is the best writer in the cast did Makina and Amane.
Kuwashima who is mostly known for writing Green Green did Michiru, the writing in that route is pretty good too though it's pretty out-there plot-wise.
Kazuya who is an in-writer of Frontwing did Sachi. Writing in it is pretty average but the route isn't bad plot wise.
Yumiko's route was written by Kio Nachi who is kind of famous but it's the blandest route in the game, <s>just like the character</s>

Anyways Makina and Amane are definitely the best routes for me but I've seen some people prefer Michiru or Sachi's routes so yeah.

I'm reading it too right now, and I too like like description it fits so well with the mood of you know who and that place.
So far I have finished Toukos route myself (which was pretty good), now aiming to do Tierras next, hopefully I wont have too big route quilts after Tierra and have energy to do the remaining after it. Tierras just so perfect heroine for me so was thinking of leaving her last (so wouldn't have to suffer from route quilt) but no can't hold myself off her. Have really liked DeaEx so far and can't wait to see how the rest of it will play out. Also Homuras such bro and Tierra is so perfect main heroine, and generally the cast is pretty nice and so is the OST too

Reading Majikoi gave me the feeling that if after the prologue the routes would split with the few male characters pursuing each a different girl, it would have been a much better game.

I don't particularly care but it's annoying to think that once you're choosing one girl all the other are going to kill themselves or something because they didn't get the MC dick.

Of course, Otakus tend to be obsessed with purity so a character being anything but a virgin at any point of the story is usually considered a bad trait.

The best solution would be not to make all the characters fall in love with the MC from the get go but instead, develop love throughout the story.

KKK did that pretty well too. 4 couples each with their own archetypes/couple dynamics, and you can choose which you want to see more scenes of with all four stories coming together at the end.
It probably helps that I liked most of the characters involved.

I did Tsui no Sora before Subahibi, it was a mistake.
Tsui no Sora spoils massively the first half of Subahibi, basically the entirety of Tsui no Sora is copy-pasted in some way in Subahibi.

Finished Yugami Kairou, not that that's any accomplishment (game was like 1 hour, tops). It wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't particularly good. It's kind of a crapshoot, honestly. Some of their games are great, others not so much.
In general, I'd say they tend to feel less polished than Eushully or Alicesoft games and they can get pretty repetitive. That being said, a lot of their stuff is great and they're always bringing cool new concepts to the table. They're definitely worth checking out.

A couple I would recommend: Ouzoku, Suzukuri Dragon, both Bunny Blacks, and Nangoku Dominion. I've heard Wizard's Climber is pretty good too, but I haven't played that one.

The game doesn't really have individual routes for characters, you just do some choices at the start and that puts you in 1 out 4 scenarios where your background changes.
In the first and second you're basically a random mercenary, in the third you're the son of house Son, in the 4th you're the son of house Shiba.
Some heroines may or may not be aviable or exclusive to some scenarios, you can see events with most of them and at the end of the scenario you get a list of all the girls whose events you have all cleared and you can choose an epilouge.
The 4th scenario is the one added by the fandisc and probably has that heroine, but if you're going to play this looking for waifus then don't bother.
They're more of an addition than anything.

I liked it, but it being a charage, your mileage will depend solely on how much you like the characters. The best part of this game though, is that while it takes itself somewhat seriously, this still an option where you get to [spoil]date both twins at the same time.[/spoil]

All the recent posts about about Kikaijikake no Eve convinced me to pick up the prequel Ogeretsu Daihyakka.
Well I was planning on doing the entire Machina Chronicle series soon enough since I loved Eve so it's a good opportunity.

Ogeretsu Daihyakka takes place 20 years before Eve, the protagonist is Honma Souichiro, the heroines include Ai the first AI/Overload and Juri's mother and Mccoy appear as a side character.
Gameplay is similar with slg part of Eve, doesn't look like it will have any action/chuuni though.
Well it will be interesting to see where Eve comes from, I like this writer quite a bit anyways.
