I have often considered this question as she is my waifu, and I have not come to a decisive conclusion even years later. What would be the optimal modern world location to take a woman who is essentially a pagan deity. I suppose one could say to some sort of down-tempo pub, but you rarely find those anymore in major cities unless you know where to look. The spirit of the text is preserved fine. The only thing that's different is, in the gold-smuggling arc, the translation makes it sound like she let the pursing dogs rape her, but she actually was just made to humiliate herself in ways analogous to a dog, eg. barking on all fours. A giant feral dog-spirit, instead of a wolf, was what was chasing them. That's why they didn't howl.

Am I the only one who thinks that the art for holo in the LN is far more attractive than the anime and manga.
The style makes her far more lithe and slim, making her fit the mark of a playful and teasing girl, rather than a mature ojou-sama, which is what she appears as in the anime.

I think it's pretty stupid since /jp/ didn't even have light novel discussions before due to this board being a blogging and otaku rehab board. Plus, the most popular light novels are the ones that have an anime adaption so there goes that.

I don't think any of these rules and shit will change /jp/, the board is losing it's activity and you can have much better discussion of otaku culture on the other boards.
