I think the people who released the demo have 100% translated overall, but like the OP says 32% of the TLC count. Not sure of the difference, but they seem to be working on it swiftly enough. The trial went by too quickly so I'm eager for more.

If you read their blog at all, they have some alpha patches that aren't released yet but are working so yes, they can insert the scripts in the PSP game and have it working. The original TLWiki hacker is also there and he managed to figure this out a while back.

This is a completely new concept to fan translation. If a reader thinks they can make the line sound better, they can. That is why the product is never finished. It constantly version-UPs itself. Oh, the translator is also doing editing? That changes things some then, didn't realize that. Usually you see some other guy doing the editing that signed on because it seemed like the job that required the least prerequisite skills, and quickly gets overwhelmed when the time comes to do actual work, but if the guy already translated the whole game then there should at least be no danger of that happening. Still I'd give it a month at least though, I mean editing that much text is not exactly a trivial task.

Actually, I'd say this version is worse - there's a lot of that weird bullshit where you can tell the translator is trying to get it right word by word instead of just restructuring the conversation. It's totally comprehensible though, just awkward.

There was someone over at SA who'd put together a proof of concept patch (same guy who worked on the Ps3 Tales of Vesperia patch, I think?) using that translation, and I think I'll just wait the two years or whatever for that one.

Has anyone gotten Muv Luv Altered Fable to run properly?

I've got the thing installed and copied all the folders in the patch to the game directory. Extra, Alternative, and Total Eclipse all appear to run fine, but when I select Altered Fable from the menu, I get a screen in moon that I can't read and three options for selection. One of which opens MuvLuv Radio in my media player, one that defaults back to the main menu, and another than closes (not crashes) the game.

Anon's is slightly better, but seems to be only learning the ropes and can't quite get certain puns and shit. Much more readable than LP's. Zetsubou is the best out of the three, really.
