Yukari's powers aren't that godlike. SSiB shows she can't control boundaries already under control by someone else. With a powerful enough sense of self she can't directly do anything against you. Remember: she is the youkai of spiriting away. To be spirited away, you yourself must be at a stage where the boundary of your own existance is weak.

She is powerless against someone with a powerful enough strenght of will. You can argue that she can gap in monsters. How can she do that? It's complete speculation her being able to perform this. Ran is an exception because she is Yukari's shikigami and thus under control of Yukari.

Found it. My theory is that Yukari is an ancestor of Maribel's clan. Messing with boundaries has been deemed forbidden because they were affraid of destroying them. Yukari went against this rule and became a youkai because of it. That or she herself set that it's forbidden to mess with the boundaries so she doesn't get anyone on her level to compete with her. Or maybe there can be only one gap manipulator at a time, so whoever messes with boundaries fuses with Yukari. It could explain all the eyes and arms coming out of her gaps. Those could be people from her family that got too close to messing with boundaries, too.

One of them said it, anyway, so it would make more sence to say that Maribel became so powerful that she accidentally into the past. Her dreams of Gensokyo actually happened in the past. Proving that she traveled into the past, unless somehow Gensokyo takes place in the future of Merry and Renko's world, or alternate dimensions.

I have read them, and I simply did not recall one line in one story. It takes two seconds to just say "CoSD" if you actually know the source, and if you just tell me to go look at a page that doesn't actually have the source either, it only looks more suspicious. Bullshit claims have gotten their way on the wiki before, especially when they're related to fan speculation.

It isn't a big deal, I went to go look it up anyways, but assuming that I'm just too lazy to go look it up completely ignores that I was skeptical of the claim, in which case I would have had to read through every page on Maribel only to find that the claim was unsubstantiated. That isn't how this shit works. Everyone knows that nearly everything about Maribel is covered in the music CDs, so it should be obvious to begin with that if I wanted to know the source material to read it like a doujin/image request I'd just go look those up. Sure just saying "source?" wasn't a good idea, but exploding like an asshat isn't at all appropriate.
